My Activity Tracking

kms

My target 100 kms

ROAD, TRAILS , FIELDS NETTLES AND HILLS

I had a day off work today so let’s get to it !!! Today’s run was different but exhilarating I ran to Normandy , all along the Christmas Pie Trail more or less back to Guildford it was a lot of trails and hills but it felt good I had a decent rhythm going and it’s brought me nicely up to 86 miles, we have an appointment at GOSH next Wednesday so I want to be up to around 99 miles by then and do the last mile with my family to finish the challenge keep going everyone we are all nearly there and keep running 🏃 🏃‍♀️ x

Another Half Marathon in the Bag

Had to put in a bit of a shift today, I have tried to schedule my 100 miles so that I literally will finish the distance on the last day in may, mostly longer runs and a couple of 6-8 milers thrown in and I’m thankfully up to 72 miles so 28 to go , today was a nice one to start but got progressively harder as I pushed back from Woking a journey I have made many times over the last months, admittedly I did feel tired after work but I was committed and glad I got it done pain is temporary 👍this month has been amazing and a wonderful challenge and journey in my life . Good luck to everyone keep going and keep running 🏃 🏃‍♀️

Half Way home

I’m super proud to receive my badge 💜💜💜

A Cheeky 6.5 miles

Yesterday was lovely a nice easy ( compared to the last few days ) 6 and a half miles the sun was shining it wasn’t too hot 🥵 and it took me up to nearly 60 miles so bang on schedule. I’ve go again on Saturday 11-12 miles probably Going the other side of Guildford to make a change I’m looking forward to it and already over halfway there good luck to everyone and keep running 🏃‍♀️ 🏃

A steady 5 miles to take me over halfway

Worked this morning so had a run planned out after finish time from work  and the school run , it felt nice only running 5 miles as the legs are a bit tired from last weeks activity but all went well and I picked up lily on time , next run planned for Wednesday so will hopefully be getting up in the 60s which will be good . Good luck to everyone and keep running 🏃 🏃‍♀️

Hot , Hot ,Hot

Today was a challenging day I worked this morning as a postie so I had a few miles in the tank already and I knew I had to put a decent effort in this afternoon to get the numbers up, I spoke to my friend who runs a lot and he said I’m not running today as it was too warm 🥺🥺🥺I asked for advice and he said drink a lot and take water with you , I heeded his advice and headed out to Woking a definite 10 miles it was to be honest a proper grind and was a challenge but I went past my famous bus stop at Mayford with the GOSH poster touched it as I went past and immediately felt better and I’m nearly halfway so I’m chuffed to bits !!!!! Good luck to everyone and keep going xxx 🏃 🏃‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♂️

SUNSHINEY DAY 🌞

Last day off work this week so I’ve tried to get a few longer runs in .Day started at 7am , up , breakfast , made Lily’s packed lunch and done the school run , home for a coffee then out !!! Had a nice easy run today to St Marks church in Normandy ( In Surrey not France ) The weather was glorious and managed to get 11 miles under my belt so over a third there now 👍Back to work as a postie tomorrow so a lot more walking as normal about 12 miles a day, Then back out on Saturday probably about the same distance as I want to keep cracking on . Good luck to everyone running and keep going 🏃‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♂️ xxx

Bank holiday Monday Morning was WET WET WET !!!!!!!!!

The alarm went off at 6.00 on Monday I was committed I had to make up the miles as I missed 4 days of running from May 1st .
I laced up my trainers donned my GOSH  T-shirt and headed out it was raining again ( What a surprise) but I don’t actually mind running in the rain so I set off , I made my way away from Guildford and decided to dig in and change my route a bit the roads were lovely and quiet and as I passed Brookwood cemetery I was ticking along nicely and was well fuelled up . I ran along the Basingstoke Canal on my way to Woking nodding and saying “ Good morning “ to the other mad folk out walking dogs and running. I reached Woking and headed back to Guildford on the familiar dead straight drag of exactly 5 miles my highlight of this part is the GOSH poster on the bus stop at Mayford roundabout which I always Tap as I go past it . When I reached home I had a good day felt fulfilled and it was only getting better as my Brother made a very substantial donation and it smashed my total I was absolutely choked up and emotional it was a wonderful gesture as James was there a few years ago when my daughter was very poorly and knew exactly how much all this means to me and my family.

On Wednesday we go again ,  an early one after the school run hopefully another 10 plus miles or further I will see how it goes . Good luck to everyone and KEEP RUNNING 🏃

First Ten miles in the bag 9 more left 🤣🤣🤣

I’m running 100 miles in May for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100 miles in May to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. A few years ago my daughter was in this position a very sick child and in need of the care that this hospital can give , luckily we are able to give something back to this remarkable hospital and I cherish every day and every minute that we are able to have with our beloved Lily . After her treatment . These are as any parent who has a child in hospital are mind boggling days and you are fortunate and forever grateful for the help and kindness that complete strangers in the N.H.S have for you and you put your 100% trust in them .

And with every mile I run, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
