Running 100 Miles in May for GOSH Charity: A Journey of Hope and Determination

I’m lacing up my running shoes and gearing up for an incredible challenge: I’m running 100 miles in May to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity). It’s a challenge that fills me with excitement, determination, and a profound sense of purpose.

Every step I take during this challenge is not just a physical feat; it’s a stride towards making a difference in the lives of children who are battling serious illnesses. Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) stands as a beacon of hope for these children and their families. Every day, the dedicated staff at GOSH provide life-changing treatment and care to around 750 seriously ill children and young people from across the UK.

The challenges these children face are immense, but so is the resilience and strength they demonstrate each day. And as I embark on this journey of running 100 miles, I carry their stories in my heart and mind. I’m inspired by their courage, their determination, and their unwavering spirit.

But I’m not running this challenge alone. I’m running alongside a community of supporters, donors, and fellow runners who share my passion for making a difference. Together, we’re raising funds for GOSH Charity, ensuring that this extraordinary hospital can continue its vital work of saving young lives.

GOSH has always relied on charitable support to fund its groundbreaking research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care. And now, more than ever, our support is crucial. By donating to my fundraising efforts, you’re not just supporting me; you’re contributing to the incredible work of GOSH Charity and giving seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Your generosity fuels my determination to push through each mile, knowing that with every step, I’m helping to make a positive impact on the lives of these brave children and their families.

As I embark on this journey, I invite you to join me. Follow along as I log my miles, share updates on my progress, and celebrate the milestones along the way. Your support means the world to me, and I’m deeply grateful for it.

Together, let’s make May a month of hope, determination, and compassion. Together, let’s run for GOSH Charity and help save young lives.

If you’d like to support my fundraising efforts, please visit my fundraising page at, https://fundraise.gosh.org/s/12275/13348. Your support will make a difference, one mile at a time.

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Together, we can make a difference.

With gratitude and determination, Upul Weerasinghe

Whether rain or scorching heat, we're running to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital! 🏃‍♂️

It's a wonderful feeling to run and raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital because every step we take contributes to improving the lives of children in need

I’m running 100 miles in May for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100 miles in May to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every mile I run, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
