150km complete - and a huge thank you!
Wow guys what a month. We have finally reached out target just a day before the deadline and we are so pleased with the distraction it’s provided for us during this autumn. Holly is 2 chemotherapy sessions in and with one to go We’ve raised well over £3000 from everyone’s generous donations and can’t wait to show the team of nurses who are looking after holly 🥰. So many babies are going to benefit from all your generous gifts and that really cannot be understated. So thank you all so so much you have changed many lives for the better. Huge thanks again all! Now we can look forward to getting Hollys next treatment out of the way in a month and hopefully getting to ring that bell. Much love xxxThe last 25km to go…
What a month! We have really enjoyed racking up the miles this month and now just have 25km to go. And just £50 shy of £3000 for GOSH. Really feeling the positive ripples fanning out :)100k reached!
We have reached 100k! It’s actually been really wonderful getting out and seeing so much of this gorgeous countryside we are blessed with, especially at the moment because we are avoiding most baby groups and get togethers to avoid giving Holly any bugs. So as bubbling goes, it’s been ok ;). Latest pics are from rhs wisley and lugshott common where our fundraising walking group is growing in number! XxHalf way there
We have been taking advantage of the lovely autumn weather and getting out onto the wonderful South Downs, we have got to 75km so we have made it to half way! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored us so far, we have been so touched by the support just flowing out from everyone :). On to the next 25km!Getting started
This week we started our walking challenge as Holly started her chemotherapy journey. We have the easier road for sure, and it felt good to use that nervous energy for something positive. Holly absolutely smashed her first chemo and we are so very proud of her. You’d never know she had treatment so far! Fingers crossed she remains her happy bouncy self xx one down two more to go xxWow
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that has donated so far. In just an hour or two after posting our intentions we have already smashed our initial fundraising target. And we haven’t even started our walking challenge yet! We are overwhelmed with the love and support we have received so far and so immeasurably grateful . We have decided to double our initial fundraising target to carry on the momentum for the month of October, so please feel free to share with more family and friends to see if we can raise more for all the little babies in need of help at GOSH. Hi everyone :)
We are challenging ourselves to walk 150 kilometres this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).
Most of you know about Hollys recent retinoblastoma diagnosis, and we are at the start of her recovery journey, but the care and support we have received from GOSH already has been second to none. So, in order to create something good out of something bad, myself and Steve are choosing to put our energy into raising money to support this wonderful hospital.
Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.
And with every kilometre we walk, we will be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.
This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help us to achieve our goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
