Run 100km in September Free Prize Draw 2025 Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the Run 100km in September 2025 Free Prize Draw (“Prize Draw”) 

  1. The promoter of this Prize Draw is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, registered charity number 1160024 and company number 09338724, of 2nd Floor, 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE (the “Charity”).
  2. The Prize Draw is open to all UK residents, aged 18 years or over, who satisfy the criteria in Clause 4 of these Terms and Conditions. Employees of the Charity, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw are not permitted to enter.
  3. The Prize Draw is free to enter.
  4. Participants will be entered into the free Prize Draw if they have:

4.1 Signed up to the Run 100km in September 2025 challenge (the "Event"), and

4.2 set up a Funraisin page and

4.3 received a donation of any amount or over on their Funraisin page between Friday 19 September and 9.00am on Monday 22 September 2025.

4.4 raised the above target and sent this donation by BACS, or cheque to the Charity's office (40 Bernard Street, London, WC1N 1LE) or through the Charity's website, and have emailed facebookchallenge@gosh.org to notify the Charity that their target has been reached. All offline fundraising must be notified to the Charity before the deadline to be accepted.

4.5 Every donation made will be an entry to the prize draw.

  1. The Closing Date of the Prize Draw is 9.00am (GMT, UK) on Monday 22 September 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
  2. The Charity accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind.
  3. The winner will be chosen by random draw, from all entrants in the Prize Draw, supervised by an independent person, on Monday 22 September 2025.
  4. The 5 winners will receive a GOSH running vest, a GOSH running buff and GOSH shoelaces.
  5. The winners will be notified by email and in a post on Facebook. If the winner does not respond to the Charity within 28 days of being notified, the winner's prize will be forfeited, and the Charity will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. The winner must provide a residential postal address in the United Kingdom, which includes a valid postcode ("Valid Postal Address") in order to claim their prize.
  6. Upon receipt of a Valid Postal Address, the prize will be sent to the winner by post within 28 days. The Charity accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
  7. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  8. The Charity reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Charity's reasonable control makes it necessary to do so.
  9. The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  10. The winner’s name and county can be obtained by sending an email to facebookchallenge@gosh.org within 28 days after the date of the closing date of the Prize Draw.
  11. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entry. The Charity reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  12. The Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so.
  13. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Charity’s, its agents or distributors or that of their employees, liability for fraud, personal injury or death to which they are attributable.
  14. The winner may be asked to participate in publicity related to the Prize Draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media. The winner has the right to choose not to participate in publicity.
  15. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize. Personal details will only be used for marketing purposes by email, telephone, mobile phone or text, if we have permission to do so (you may have already done this if you have registered your details with us previously).   16. The Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
  17. The Prize Draw, these Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with the Prize Draw and / or these Terms and Conditions, or their subject matter or formation.

    By participating in the Walkie Talkie Tower Climb 2026 (the “Event”) on Saturday 28 March 2026 in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (Registered charity no. 1160024) (“GOSH Charity”) you are deemed to have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions: 

    • By providing your details we will contact you by email, SMS, telephone and mail about your fundraising and your participation in relation to the Event. 
    • An entry fee of £30 for all participants is payable at the point of registration and, unless stated otherwise in these Terms & Conditions, is non-refundable. 
    • If the Event is delayed or cancelled due to any situation beyond our control, e.g., adverse weather conditions, or unforeseeable circumstances we will try to arrange for the Event to take place later but cannot guarantee this will happen. No registration fees are refundable under these circumstances. Children under the age of 16 years of age are not permitted to take part in this Event. Children between the age of 16 to under 18 years must register with permission of a parent or guardian. 
    • You are pledging to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship (excluding Gift Aid), to be received by GOSH Charity no later than six weeks after the Event has taken place. 
    • You accept that GOSH Charity, and/or Great Ormond Street Hospital, and/or 20 Fenchurch Street, and/or H Properties Ltd and/ or any other Event partners, are not liable for your possessions during the Event. 
    • Your safety, and that of everyone else at the Event, is of paramount importance to us. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions you agree to adhere to any health & safety requirements put in place by GOSH Charity and/or that are imposed by the Government at the Event, which may change at short notice and may also result in us changing these Terms & Conditions. 
    • You are entering the Event of your own volition, and therefore confirm that your general state of health and fitness is good, and that you understand that any injury sustained by you during the Event, which after investigation is deemed to be no fault of GOSH Charity, and/or Great Ormond Street Hospital, and/or 20 Fenchurch Street, and/or H Properties Ltd. and/or any other Event partners, shall be your own responsibility. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall attempt to limit or exclude, any of the parties referred to in these Terms and Conditions, liability for fraud, death or personal injury which is caused by, or attributable to, them. 
    • Your gender and date of birth are important as they provide vital information in case of emergency. For more information see our Privacy Policy,www.gosh.org/privacy. 
    • Film, Images, and Photography:We hope to take some great pictures and footage at this Event and have a professional photographer/videographer attending. Pictures, images or film of you, your guests or children under your care may be taken by the professional photographer.  By participating in the Event (unless you have notified us otherwise through the online registration process or by email as set out below), you agree that we may use these pictures, images, or film for future promotional or marketing activity. This includes, but is not limited to, a thank you video for those involved in, and participating in, the Event, future online or offline promotional activity such as articles or news stories on our website or on digital channels; and future email marketing promoting similar events. 
    • We respect your right to privacy. If you no longer want your picture (or those of any of your guests or children under your care) to be used, please inform us by email to tower.climb@gosh.org. You can withdraw your permission at any time. Please see our privacy policy (gosh.org/privacy) for more information. 
    • Walkie Talkie Tower Climb is a one-off charity event and is therefore VAT exempt. 
    • GOSH Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms & Conditions where necessary from time to time. 
    • You understand that all information provided as part of the registration process is held by GOSH Charity for the purpose of administering your participation. 
    • We may contact you for marketing purposes by email, telephone, mobile telephone or text, but only if we have your permission to do so. We may also send you marketing by mail in line with our Privacy Policy,www.gosh/org/privacy. 
    • We will always treat your personal details with the utmost care and will never sell or swap with other organisations for their marketing purposes.     By participating in Swim 8km in October (the “Event”) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (Registered charity no. 1160024) (the “Charity”) you are deemed to have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions:

    • Entrance to the Event is via the Funraisin platform. You understand that Funraisin (“Funraisin”) is an independent software company to the Charity. You can view their privacy policy here - Funraisin Privacy Policy. All information provided as part of the registration form is processed using the Funraisin platform. Funraisin only processes the information on behalf of the Charity for the purpose of administering your participation in the Event.

    • All donations must be received either through Participants’ Funraisin fundraising page and/or Swim 8km in October Facebook Fundraising page.

    • You are registering for and taking part in the Event of your own volition and therefore confirm that your general state of health and fitness is good and that you understand that any injury sustained by you, which after investigation is deemed to be no fault of the Charity, shall be your own responsibility.  For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall attempt to limit or exclude the Charity’s liability for fraud, death or personal injury.

    • Children under 16 years of age at the start of the Event, 1 October 2025, must be registered by a parent or guardian; and be accompanied by a responsible adult during their participation in their chosen activity for the Event.

    • All information provided about children under 16 years of age must be done so only with the explicit permission and knowledge of the child’s parent/guardian.

    • By participating in the Event, you confirm that you will comply with all applicable laws and government guidelines in force at the time and shall ensure that any children and guests attending the Event to support you shall do the same.

    • Should you choose to connect your Funraisin account with any other third-party website and/or a device, you accept that you do so at your own risk, and the Charity shall not be responsible for any data you provide them, or the terms and conditions you may be asked to accept. 

    • Team Captains providing information about other team members must do so only with each team member’s explicit consent. 

    • You understand that team captains can view the name and email addresses of all team members.

    • By providing your details the Charity will contact you by email, SMS, telephone and mail about your fundraising and your participation in relation to the Event. The Charity may also contact you for marketing purposes by email, telephone, mobile telephone, or text, but only if we have your permission to do so.     • The Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.

    • The Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time and may amend the dates advertised if necessary.

    • The Charity accepts no responsibility for any errors due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network, or server failure of any kind.

    • Those Individual Participants who request a swim hat and/or t-shirt through the submitting a registration form on https://fundraise.gosh.org/register/swim-8km-october-25  by midnight (GMT, UK) 10 October 2025, will be sent the requested item(s) via second class post, to the Valid Postal Address given upon registration to the Event, unless the Charity is updated otherwise.

    • The swim hats and/or t-shirts will be sent via second class post, during September and October 2025, to the Valid Postal Address given upon registration to the Event, unless the Charity is updated otherwise.

    • The Charity accepts no responsibility for any swim hats and/or t-shirts that are lost, damaged, or delayed in in the post and can only send out a replacement if available. 

    • Personal data supplied during this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment, delivery, and arrangement.

    • In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions on this website, or any other third-party websites associated or linked to via this one, then these Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent allowable by applicable law.

    By participating in Run 26.2 Miles in April (the “Event”) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (Registered charity no. 1160024) (the “Charity”) you are deemed to have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions:

    • Entrance to the Event is via the Funraisin platform. You understand that Funraisin (“Funraisin”) is an independent software company to the Charity. You can view their privacy policy here - Funraisin Privacy Policy. All information provided as part of the registration form is processed using the Funraisin platform. Funraisin only processes the information on behalf of the Charity for the purpose of administering your participation in the Event.

    • You will also have the option to set up a Facebook Fundraiser. You understand that Facebook is owned by Meta Platforms, Inc (“Meta”) and Meta is an independent company of the Charity and by choosing to set up a Facebook Fundraiser, you will also be agreeing to their terms and Privacy Policy with is available here - Meta Privacy Policy

    • All donations must be received either through Participants’ Funraisin fundraising page and/or Run 26.2 Miles in April Facebook Fundraising page.

    • You are registering for and taking part in the Event of your own volition and therefore confirm that your general state of health and fitness is good and that you understand that any injury sustained by you, which after investigation is deemed to be no fault of the Charity, shall be your own responsibility.  For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall attempt to limit or exclude the Charity’s liability for fraud, death or personal injury.

    • Children under 16 years of age at the start of the Event, 1 April 2023, must be registered by a parent or guardian; and be accompanied by a responsible adult during their participation in their chosen activity for the Event.

    • All information provided about children under 16 years of age must be done so only with the explicit permission and knowledge of the child’s parent/guardian.

    • By participating in the Event, you confirm that you will comply with all applicable laws and government guidelines in force at the time and shall ensure that any children and guests attending the Event to support you shall do the same.

    • Should you choose to connect your Funraisin account with any other third-party website and/or a device, you accept that you do so at your own risk, and the Charity shall not be responsible for any data you provide them, or the terms and conditions you may be asked to accept. 

    • Team Captains providing information about other team members must do so only with each team member’s explicit consent. 

    • You understand that team captains can view the name and email addresses of all team members.

    • By providing your details the Charity will contact you by email, SMS, telephone and mail about your fundraising and your participation in relation to the Event.
