Smashed this weekend
Finley ran just under 2miles Saturday evening. Then over 2 miles Sunday morning finishing with a 3.5 mile evening. He went to bed in minutes. Absolute star! so proud of you Finley xSlowly getting there!!
Finley is continuing to be amazing and run, even if it's round the garden. I broke my big toe and we've been battling the usual flu virus things, but Finley is adamant he will get there, just will take us a little longer!Garden
Finley decided that because it gets a little too dark by the time we are able to run after school, he could run laps round the garden instead. A little muddy but he did it ♥️Fin is running 100km in February for GOSH Charity!
Finley is challenging himself to run 100km this February to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).
He has always been by his sisters side throughout her illness and along the different stages or routes we have been taken to. He doesn't complain or get annoyed, just helps support her in anything he can.
With Soph recently being referred back to GOSH and under several different clinics there Finley wanted to help. So this is what he has decided to do.
Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.
That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
And with every kilometre we run, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.
Please help Fin to achieve his goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
