My target 8 kms

Week One

Started hard- I did my first swim wed 28th feb I had time off work and I was keen to get started and motivated.
I also figured I wouldn’t get much chance at the end of March to complete the challenge as it’s half term so giving myself a two day head start was what I needed

Strike while the irons hot, I thought, day one and day two were just two days apart, I hit the pool with enthusisam and peaked too soon.

I swam 60 lengths wed and Friday and have covered 3000m in just two days. It’s fair to say I’m exhausted tonight.
I’ll get out the message gun to loosen off my muscles and rest for the weekend but perhaps might not go quite so hard so fast next time
But major chunk of the challenge complete so can relax into it now.

I'm swimming 8K in March for GOSH Charity

I’m challenging myself to swim 8 kilometres this March to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every metre I swim I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
