No child should have their childhood stolen by illness.

On Saturday 28 March 2026, I will be climbing 36 floors and 896 steps up London’s iconic Walkie Talkie building to raise £500 for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and help build their new Children’s Cancer Centre.

I am doing this because children and their wellbeing have always been close to my heart and because this cause is deeply personal to me.

When I was six years old, I lost my three-month-old baby brother to pneumonia. He was tiny, innocent, and full of a life that was only just beginning. One moment he was there, and the next he was gone. At that age, you don’t fully understand death, but you feel the loss deeply, and it stays with you forever.

That experience shaped me. It taught me how fragile life is, especially for children, and how devastating it is for families when a child is taken too soon.

No child should have their childhood stolen by illness.
No parent should have to say goodbye far too early.

Although medical research has come a long way, cancer continues to take more young lives than any other illness among children aged 1–14 in the UK.

GOSH is building a new Children’s Cancer Centre so that more children can receive life-saving treatment in a place designed not just to treat illness, but to protect childhood, a place with space for learning, play, comfort, and hope.

This climb is my way of honouring my brother’s short life and of standing up for children who are still fighting for theirs.

If you’re able to support me, please consider donating and helping me reach my £500 fundraising goal.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps give children a better chance at life.

Thank you so much for your support. 🤍
