My October challenge is done!

Thanks for all your support and generosity!

30 October - final swim! 18k done!

Did my final swim for this challenge today. Another 80m bringing the total to 18km for the month of October. Thanks so so much for your support and donations! xx

Swim 8 - 26 October 16km done so far!

On the last few days now! Completed another 80 meters/2km.

Swim 7 - 23 October

80 lengths done today! Another 2km down!

Swim 6 - 18 Oct 23

Another 2km/80m done! :-)  12km completed so far. xx

Swim 5 - 16 October

Hi everyone. Did another 2km today. Up to 10km so far! I have a watch now that measures my laps but can’t figure out how to use it yet!
Huge thanks to you all for being so generous xx

Swim 4 - 15 October 8km done!

Completed the 8km! But I’ll keep going! Did 2km in around 50 mins. Will continue next week!

Swim 3 - 9 October

Another 2km on the pool today. Understandably I can’t take photos of me swimming at the pool so I’m trying to think of ways of showing that I am doing it! For 80 x 25 meters its taking around 48-50 mins. I’ve just listened to Michael Mosley’s Just One Thing about the benefits of swimming for the brain, blood vessels and body!

Swim 2 - 5 October

Completed another 2km! Feeling good and pleased to be up to 4km in the first week of the challenge. Will keep going!

Swim 1 - 2 October: 2km done!

First, a massive thanks to everyone for your generous donations to such a worthwhile cause.

Started the challenge yesterday at the King Alfred public swimming pool in Hove. It’s a 25 metre pool and completed 80 lengths so 2km done!

I’m swimming 8K in October for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to swim 8 kilometres this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every metre I swim I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.

Thank you to my Sponsors
