Day 3 - More Recovery

Unfortunately, taking a single cheat day—KFC and Biriyani—have led to mouth ulcers on the left side of my mouth after a dental clean.

I also have a slight headache/illness, so I decided to prioritise health and fresh air rather than pushing my limits heavily this week.

Will attempt a 2.5km run later today as a stress test to see if I can run on my shins. Shin splints and shoulder pains currently are my biggest enemy so will prioritise stretching and yoga this week to push for better times next week.

Day 2 - Recovery

Still warming up the shins and the feet so I took today as more of a recovery day trying not to push myself.

I ran the first route to get comfortable with it and then walked it in again in the evening.

Trialling various software/hardware during the process, last month was Apple Watch but this month will be using a mixture of Strava to record runs/walks along with Whoop to understand further about my recovery process.

First Run!

Mapping out a 5K route! Excited to be doing this for a good cause.

Will donate a further £50 myself at the end of each week.

Very motivating to run ensuring the importance and improvement of the younger generation through much-needed medical attention and care.

I’m running 100km in February for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100km this February to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I run, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
