Run 100K in September 2024

My Activity Tracking

100
kms

My target 100 kms

Challenge complete

100K completed for the month !

Proud of myself for dragging myself through this month. I have managed to raise a good amount for a worthy cause and my fitness has improved massively.

Thanks for the kind donations and the support along the way 🏃‍♂️💨

20 days and 70K

Still going strong 20 days in and on target.

I need to do an average of 3K per day for the rest of the month which is more than achievable.

Fitness has improved massively over the month but wear and tear on my old man knees is starting to show !
Bring on this weekends parkrun 💪🏃‍♂️💨

Day 10 update

Fresh back from my wet and windy evening run on day 10.
38.5 K done and the legs are starting to feel it now ! But plenty of ibuprofen and deep heat will get me through the month !

4 days down

4 days down and 21km run so far.

Long work days have restricted me to evening runs this week which were pretty new to me as I like to try and get out early in the morning before I lose motivation so have had to force myself out of the door each evening.

Highlights so far include a nice Sunday morning trip around Hilsea lines on day 1 and a magical mystery 8.5k evening tour down to Southsea on day 3.

Enjoying the challenge so far but my legs are starting to tell me otherwise !

So this is happening

Pushing myself to run 100K in the month of September and hoping to raise a bit of money for a good cause at the same time.

As you will know I am not built for running so this month should beast me.

Very grateful for any donations or shares on social media etc.

I’m running 100K in September for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100 kilometres this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every kilometre I run, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
