My target 100 kms

I’m running 100km in September for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100km this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity). Please help me to achieve my goal of £400 by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.

An Evening Blog-Post Update

Good evening, everyone! Bobby here! And welcome back to another blog post update, by yours truly! Hope you're all keeping well?

This is mostly an update to say I've updated the fundraising target, once more. This time, to £400.
This one is going to take some serious driving force to achieve, but if all goes well then I believe we can make it happen. Moreover, completing a 30km walk today has taught me that if I can work hard to drive the momentum, then anything is possible!

As always, if you're viewing this for the first time and haven't donated, and you would like to, then feel free to follow the instructions on the right-hand side of the page, at the very top. Also, you can spread the word too, if you wish, by sharing the fundraising page far and wide. This will help get the word out, that I'm doing some big walks. Speaking of which, I'm hoping to continue with my walks as much as physically and humanly possible.

Otherwise, I hope you all have a good night! Take care as always! And to quote Earl Nightingale, 1970's/1980's motivational speaker: "No matter what your goal may be, perhaps the road to it can be found in the very thing in which you're now engaged".

A Midway Update

Good morning, everyone! Bobby here. Welcome back to another blog post, from myself. Well, we're halfway there!
And so, I wanted to give you an update on the latest, whilst I've been out there grinding as many miles as I humanly can.

So, 15 days in and we have reached a good mileage so far! Currently sitting in a comfortable 2nd place, a silver award if you will! Which is always a plus when one's name is on the leaderboard!

Furthermore, we have exceeded the second fundraising target - a huge "Thank You" to everyone who has donated so far. Speaking of which, if you would like to donate the details are at the top right hand side of the page, as always! You can even spread the word too, if you wish, by sharing the page far and wide!

Moreover, I have a special something coming in late October. Which, understandably in theory, is way too late to share it for this event. However, most likely, I'll share the details as to what it is, when the time comes! I won't give away any details just yet, as the special something in question may not arrive until mid-late October. However, I will just say the plan and production for it will soon be underway. So, stay tuned!

Otherwise, that about does it for me on this blog post. Over the next few days, I'll look to update the fundraising target once more, so I can keep "pushing for pennies", so to speak.
And, all that's left for me to say is, I hope you all have a good day, and a good week - we're at the halfway point, so let's go get that second half!

33% Done! 66% To Go!

Hello, everyone! Bobby here! I've got a late night/post-midnight status post coming to you, letting you all know we're a third of the way through the month.

For Day 11 (which would have been yesterday as of the time of this post), I had to take a rest day. Weather was a little underwhelming and, after the 104+ km I walked in the first week, I kind of needed to rest for the day.

Nevertheless, I'll be back to do Day 11 on Day 12 and, if I can, I'll play catch up somehow. Although I do need to warn you all - over the weekend, the weather is going to become extremely depressing very quickly. And so, mileage could be easily restricted and limited. However what I can do, I will.

As always, thanks to everyone for their ongoing support. And if you're reading this for time and haven't donated, and would like to, feel free to check the top-right hand side of the page. Feel free to spread the word as well, by sharing the page far and wide. Otherwise, I'll hope to catch up with you all again soon! Have a good night!

Pushing On!

Good evening, everyone! It's Bobby here, once again! How are you all doing, on this Monday evening? I hope you're all keeping well?

I just wanted to let you all know, readers and web-surfers from near and afar, that I have updated the fundraising target to £300. We are almost halfway there, on that front, which is fantastic news! As always, if you'd like to donate, feel free to check the top-right corner of the fundraising page. And, if you'd like to, you can spread the news far and wide, and share wise words of wisdom, encouragement and support!

We are a week down and just over 3 more to go. And there is plenty more to come, as far as walks are concerned! So, I hope you can stay tuned! Otherwise, I'll hope to catch you up again soon, in another blog post! Have a good evening, everyone!

1 Week Down... And A Lot More To Come!

Good evening, everyone! Bobby here! And welcome back to another post for this event! So, yes! I have managed to do 100km in a week! Which is crazy, considering that everyone was advising me to not do it all, in one week, otherwise.

However, the buck does not stop there - just because I've reached the target mileage doesn't mean I'll be stopping there. For I have 3 weeks more to go and I, for one, am looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next week.

If anyone would like to donate to the cause, feel free to check the top right of the page, where you can chip in any amount that you wish. Any and all donations will go towards the development of the new Children's Cancer Research Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Moreover, if you'd like to spread the word about my fundraising page then feel free to share across the lands, far and wide! Otherwise, I'll hope to see you tomorrow, for my second week of walking innings!

A Late Night Update!

Hello and good evening, everyone! Bobby here! Hope you're all keeping well? I have a very late night update post, coming to you, to say that we have reached the base target (and have exceeded it by a small fraction, as of the time of me typing this post).

A huge "Thank You" goes to all of you, who have supported me over the first leg of my journey! I couldn't have done it without you and your dedicated amounts of support.

Over the weekend, I'll look to update the target, but it'll be a case of finding a target that's not only reasonable, but doable as well. Thank you once again everyone. I hope you all have a good night! And I'll hope to catch you all up again, very soon!

1, 2, 3, GO!

Good evening, everyone! Bobby here! The event is underway. And with a good few walks to get the ball rolling, it's been all systems go from my side. Plenty of areas to explore, plenty of footage to capture on my social side, and quite a few donations thus far (to which I must say, as always from the bottom of my heart, thank you).

On a technical note, I do have to stress one thing - when I connected Strava to the page on the day before launch, it did unintentionally/inadvertently add a walk from the day before (so the Saturday before launch). So my mileage score is meant to be at just over 40km, at the time of this post, as opposed to 58km.

That said, while it's all systems go, this is just the beginning! So I must say a huge thank you to everyone who's supported me thus far - there's plenty more action to come, as the month progresses. So, if you'd like to spread the word to your friends, family, and the world, feel free to share this across the board.

Otherwise, I'll hope to keep you updated with the next few days. Have a good night everyone. And I'll catch up with you all again tomorrow!

Before We Start...

Hello, everyone. Bobby here! We are a weekend away from/before commencing the event - 100km for the month of September for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
But before we start, I wanted to introduce myself a little bit.

So, hello! My name is Bobby, and I've been fundraising for GOSH for over 10 years now, accumulating almost £13,000 within that timeframe, all within my workplace of Premier Inn. I also own one of a miniscule handful of golden GOSH pin badges, which were only given to 30 people in the entire Premier Inn workforce, in the UK. Furthermore, I've met the likes of Vernon Kay and Adam Sanderson, both of whom are avid GOSH supporters in celebrity format.
Moreover, I am a huge walk-a-holic and turn-based strategy/combat video game superfan and adore Italian food, pasta mainly/specifically. I also enjoy listening to Dubstep, Nightcore and Video Game Music, and Audiobooks.

I may well pop in some more facts about me along the way, and if I do keep your eyes peeled! Otherwise, we start Monday! To which I say - "Bring it on!"

This Just In! Get Your Merch Here!

Hello again, everyone! It's Bobby here. And we have merch! Yes, that's right! Thanks to Great Ormond Street Hospital, once again, for their amazing T-Shirt they sent me. I will no doubt be wearing this on my travels, throughout next month.

Speaking of which, there is just a little over two weeks before the month starts, and I'm looking forward to it! I'll hope to see you all at the start line! In the meantime, feel free to spread the word about my cause if you wish! And let's go get it!

Welcome Back, Bobby!

Hello there! Greetings and salutations, everyone! My name is Bobby, Bobby Gotelee to be exact. And I have decided to take on another mileage-targeted challenge, once again.
After the resounding success of 100km in February, and of 60 Miles In June (recorded elsewhere), I have decided to undertake this challenge. And, I'll be honest - whilst I'm excited, as always, it'll definitely feel like a welcome back parade. As I did this challenge in February, I am no stranger to this. However, as always, I'll hope to do my best and show the world what I can do. I'll hope to keep you all updated, as I often do. Otherwise, the 1st September is the port to call! Hope to see you then!

About GOSH Charity

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I run, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
