My swim
Today was my first day in the poolI’m swimming 8km in March for GOSH Charity!
I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this March to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).
Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.
That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.
Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.

Caroline, You should be so proud of what you have achieved. You have helped people where they may feel like that they do not have any hope, they could be in a place of "lostness" and unknown due to being in the situation they are in - without you even knowing and as simple as this, the money you have raised may help towards ensuring that when they need help, a bed is available for treatment or helped paid for a nurse or doctor to make them better. Please do not underestimate your contribution, you have helped to help support others. You have supported a charity that is close to my heart because when my daughter was born (Phoebe), we needed the specialist help to make my daughter to be like you and me as she is now today - she had a 1 in 10 chance of being "normal. Thankfully, with the specialist care and support Phoebe recieved, she hit the 1 in 10. She is my winning lottery numbers in my life however, without people like you, who push themselves to raise money to support the needs of the charity, It could of been the case that my daughter would of not had the best outcome which she had. Thank you, you may not have helped my daughter directly but you may have helped a family who went through the horrible time that I did. Thank you Caroline, thank you for you efforts, commitment and determination. Thank you for helping others.
