50 Squats a Day in November 2026

My Why 💖🙏💖

So I’ve just signed up to do 50 squats per day for the whole of November to raise all important funds for this AMAZING hospital that has seen me walk through their doors for the last 26 years with 3 of my boys for life-saving and life-altering treatment.

As many of you know Liam was just 5 days old when he was transferred to GOSH to have a colostomy operation. He’d subsequently have a further 5 surgeries, one of which saved his life after developing severe sepsis at just 7 months of age. He went on to have a successful colostomy reversal and is thriving 25 years later.

Little did I know when he was discharged at 18, that I’d be returning through their doors with my youngest when he was diagnosed with early onset scoliosis with a curvature of his spine originally at 67 degree, subsequent plaster cast jackets and bracing for the next 7 years have seen his curve reduce significantly to 19 degree (and currently below the surgery threshold) while they continue to monitor any regression.

Then as life would have it, I’d walk back through their doors again with our Alfie when he was diagnosed with a heart condition (WPW) in 2024 and subsequently lost consciousness on the train returning from our holiday last year, giving me the fright of my life, where he was subsequently admitted for an emergency heart procedure to remove the faulty pathways that were putting Alfie at risk. He was subsequently fitted with a heart loop and his heart has been behaving perfectly since.

Nothing can prepare you for the worry of seeing your child unwell, or kissing your child goodbye as you leave them in theatre with so many unknowns at play, as you entrust their care to somebody else and the agonising waiting for news that all went well. I could never express enough my sheer gratitude for all they’ve done for my beautiful boys and continue to do. The staff are amazing and the care next to none.

That is why GOSH is so close to my heart and I hope you’ll support this wonderful cause by making a donation however big or small - every little helps 🙏 I’m going to encourage my boys to all join in the fun too 💖

Any donation however big or small makes a BIG difference 🙏💖 Thank you in advance 🙏💖

I’m doing 50 Squats a Day in November for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to do 50 squats a day this November to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every squat I do, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
