Why I'm Swimming 10Km for GOSH Charity.
I’m challenging myself to swim 10km this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).
My Brother Emirhan has suffered since birth from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a genetic disease affecting his left ventricle. I've grown up alongside him, seeing the struggles he's had to endure as a child with a heart condition. In 2023, Emirhan underwent a procedure to implant a S-ICD device which has had a major impact on his life. Fortunately, Emirhan continues to persevere in his daily life despite the adversities he faces due to his condition.
Emirhan isn't the only child experiencing challenges in their daily life due to disease. Countless other children also have similar experiences to Emirhan.
Although this may sound awful, there are also countless things we can do to help. That's why I'm swimming 10Km for the GOSH Charity this October to raise both awareness and funds for the charity.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity needs your support more than ever. By fundraising, you'll help to fund.
- Groundbreaking research
- Advanced equipment
- Children and family support services
- The rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities within the hospital.
The work being done at Great Ormond Street Hospital is at the forefront of children's healthcare, with the services being delivered being life changing.
With every kilometer I swim and every pound you guys donate, you're helping support the work being done at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Any donation to support the cause or forwarding of this page is appreciated so that we can support children like Emirhan.
