🙌🏼 I’ve finished 🙌🏼

Day 25 and I’ve got to 8k!! Wow!! I honestly didn’t think I was going to be able to complete it, and I never expected to even reach £250 in donations let alone over £500!! Thank you everyone for your support, donations and encouragement, it means everything to me!! 😘

Day22

Wow! It’s been a week, my health hasn’t been great and it’s stopped me getting in the pool for 7 days 😡 however back in yesterday and today and have managed to bank another 2250m bringing my total swim so far to 6450m!!! I can see the end in sight (which is good as there’s only 9 days left). Not giving up, I will complete this!!!

Day 9

Day 9, Swim no5 and wow was that one hard!! Another 0.700km and today I felt every single stroke! Shoulders aching and hands are swollen but am so proud! 3175m completed!!! Woop woop 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Day 3 done!

So we are 3 days into March and I’ve managed 3 swims! 1875m done! Feeling pretty happy with my start! Now for a few days off! Back in the pool at the weekend hopefully!!

Day 1

Swim 1 completed!! 575m!! Feel knackered but really positive!!! Roll on day 2!!!

1 week to go

So it’s a week to go, my shirt turned up today and I’ve booked my swim for next Saturday at 3pm!

Here we go!

Ok so here we go!

As many of you know our youngest son Sean has been under Great Ormond Street Hospital for a while now with the neurosurgical team for his epilepsy and in the near future will probably be undergoing brain surgery! GOSH are the most amazing hospital who do so so much for not just the children in their care but for the families of all the children too.

I can’t do sponsored walks, and I definitely can’t run a marathon but I can swim and so this March I am going to be trying to swim 8km to raise money for GOSH!

If you could donate anything to make me get my fat arse in the pool every day I’d be over the moon, and if you could share my fundraising page to as many people as possible I’d be very grateful.

I’m swimming 8km in March for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this March to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
