🙌🏼 I’ve finished 🙌🏼
Day 25 and I’ve got to 8k!! Wow!! I honestly didn’t think I was going to be able to complete it, and I never expected to even reach £250 in donations let alone over £500!! Thank you everyone for your support, donations and encouragement, it means everything to me!! 😘Day22
Wow! It’s been a week, my health hasn’t been great and it’s stopped me getting in the pool for 7 days 😡 however back in yesterday and today and have managed to bank another 2250m bringing my total swim so far to 6450m!!! I can see the end in sight (which is good as there’s only 9 days left). Not giving up, I will complete this!!!Day 9
Day 9, Swim no5 and wow was that one hard!! Another 0.700km and today I felt every single stroke! Shoulders aching and hands are swollen but am so proud! 3175m completed!!! Woop woop 🙌🏼🙌🏼Day 3 done!
So we are 3 days into March and I’ve managed 3 swims! 1875m done! Feeling pretty happy with my start! Now for a few days off! Back in the pool at the weekend hopefully!!Day 1
Swim 1 completed!! 575m!! Feel knackered but really positive!!! Roll on day 2!!!1 week to go
So it’s a week to go, my shirt turned up today and I’ve booked my swim for next Saturday at 3pm!Here we go!
I’m swimming 8km in March for GOSH Charity!
I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this March to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).
Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.
That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.
Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
