Day 30 !!!!!!!!
Day 17 - increasing goal again to 20k(!!!)

I am now over halfway through my month of swimming and I am TIRED!! So far I have swam 416 lengths which is 10400m so I am upping my goal again to 20k…. Madness tbh but the donations I have got already have motivated me to push myself. On that note I am on the bus to the pool again and am aiming for 100 lengths this afternoon while I don’t have a time limit to stick to… wish me luck , have also just eaten two samosas a chai and a chocolate milkshake so feeling heavy 😩😂🏊🥲🥰⭐️🎗️
Day 3 - distance update to 18K!
My first swim of the month on Friday morning went way better than expected and I swam 70 lengths, so I have decided to up my distance again and aim for swimming 18K instead! (Even though I was knackered and had to have a sleep as well as George at nap time 😂)I’m swimming 10k in March for GOSH’s new cancer centre

I’m currently sitting in Pret with tears in my eyes writing this as my lovely little nanny baby George sleeps beside me.
Great Ormond Street (GOSH) is the leading children’s hospital in the UK, if you find yourself there it is because your child needs the most acute medical care by doctors at the forefront of their fields. It is not a place I ever thought I would be spending so much time in.
George’s cancer diagnosis in October 2023 changed that.
I am undertaking a challenging month of swimming in order to raise funds for GOSH’s new dedicated children’s cancer centre. Currently oncology keeps moving around the hospital as they build it a permanent home. You can read more about it here: https://www.gosh.org/the-childrens-cancer-centre/
It will be hard, I have barely had time these past few months to do anything let alone keep up any physical fitness!!! I have also upped the suggested distance from 8K to 10K to make it even more challenging for myself but I’m hoping to even go beyond this as a physical show of my commitment.
I am hoping that by giving myself something concrete to focus on I will be able to let go of some of the tension of the last few months and I am looking forward to the endorphins lifting my mood and helping my mental health. Obviously most of all I am hoping to raise a bit of 💰💰💰so that in the future other children just like my gorgeous George get the care and support they need at this incredible hospital.
