I’m running 100km in September for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100km this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity). Please help me to achieve my goal of £1000 by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.

Day 3

Rubbish weather and lots of mud - but I made it out!

Slowly feeling like running is getting a bit easier so hoping by the end of week 1 I will feel a difference !!

Day 01

Went for my first run at 7 am this morning - legs felt like cement and I actually think it might have been faster if someone had carried me - but reminding myself it’s day 1 out of many!! Looking forward to getting out there tomorrow again xx

Running 100 km!!

I have somehow committed to running 100 km in the month of September for GOSH - eeek!!!

We love Gosh so much in our family as after our daughter Liv was born with a cleft palate back in 2019 they were literally a life saver. We had a shock diagnosis as Liv was born having no clue what a cleft palate was or what it would mean for our Liv, and meanwhile we were going through it all (and covid!) the hospital were there for us to support us through it all.

Liv had her surgery just before she turned one, and without it she wouldn’t be having the same life as she has today. Today, she is a confident, lively 6 year old who thrives in phonics, singing and is a true chatterbox - all things that would have been much harder had she not had her surgery to repair the hole in her palate.

Having not been running for quite some time this will for sure be a challenge for me - but I am up for it!

I am doing it as much for myself as for Liv, to continue to show her that if we put our mind to it, we can achieve anything we want.

Whatever you can donate will go a long way for GOSH and help them continue to perform the wonders for children like Liv and others.
