Faye Newman

Gosh has been a second home for 16 years for Joe and our family. Many many tears have been shed and our hearts weighing heavy with sadness in this time. But-good news has also been music to our ears, when it has happened here and there! He will be transferring to an adults hospital in the next few months.  We want to show our thanks to Gosh for everything before we leave. Joe's condition (Muscular Dystrophy)  ironically means he finds stairs incredibly hard, almost impossible to climb, so i'm doing this for you Joe and every child and adult living with Muscular Dystrophy.

I’m stepping up for seriously ill kids

I'll be climbing 36 floors and 896 steps up London's iconic Walkie Talkie building on Saturday 28 March 2026 to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

No childhood should be cut short by cancer.

Research and treatments have dramatically improved survival, but cancer is still the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK.

GOSH needs a new home for breakthrough treatments, so we can save more children’s lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden and so much more.
