Thank you everyone for your support so far, it has been amazing!I’m running 100km in February for GOSH Charity on behalf of my daughter Mia Bharucha!!
I'm embarking on the heartfelt journey of running 100km this February for my beloved daughter, Mia Bharucha, who was diagnosed with Leukemia on 11th November 2024 and is currently undergoing a 2.5 year treatment plan with GOSH.
One day, Mia was running around, her laughter filling the air as she chased her friends without a care in the world. The next, she was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with leukemia, at just two years old. In an instant, her joyful childhood was replaced with hospital beds, IV drips, endless tests, and caring nurses working tirelessly around her. Her tiny hand wrapped around mine—too weak to even sit up and asking "can we go home now?".
We had to watch helplessly as chemotherapy drained the colour from her cheeks, as her hair fell in clumps, as her little body fought battles no child should ever have to face. This is a nightmare and journey that no parent ever imagines.
Whilst Mia undergoes treatment, Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) became our second home. The incredible team at GOSH has been our guiding light, providing life-saving care and unwavering support when we needed it most.
That’s why, this February, I’m running 100km for Mia and the GOSH family.
GOSH gives children like Mia a chance at a longer, healthier, and happier life. Their work is truly inspiring, and I want to give back in any way I can.
Every kilometer I run and every pound raised will help not
just Mia, but countless other children in need of critical care and research.
