Run 100 Miles in May 2024

My target 100 kms

Final week

Coming to an end of the challenge, sadly although initial fundraising target has been met I wont be able to get close to the 100mile target.

As a frequent runner I was sure the distance could have been achieved however after a few setbacks and injuries I haven't been able to get close. lost 2 weeks roughly in the month for the challenge.

Proud of achievement however and super happy for a great cause.

week 3

Mileage looking to get picked up again this week, 77 miles left, struggling to fit in all the required miles but very happy with challenge so far.

Going for a run later today to get some miles in.

T shirt arrival and putting in miles

Really enjoyable run today in the sun. Ran on work so needed to get back but pleased to do 4.23. Not bothered by times the minute with lots of miles coming up, I'm just wanting to get the runs done.

weekend

Managed to get in a nice run on Saturday and planning another run today on my lunch which will take me over the 15m mark.

Now need to plan in how to get in the rest of the 80+ miles, enjoying it so far and so happy with donations so far.

1st Day

Found a nice route into the woods that kind of loops back on itself, easy place to extend route if I need to. Think i need to get out at weekend and explore a bit more.

I’m running 100 miles in May for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100 miles in May to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every mile I run, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
