100 Skips a Day in September

Skipping?!? Not a fan.

This year I started running 🏃🏽‍♀️. I never thought I could get into it but somehow I’m now running distances and times I didn’t think were possible for me with my many ailments.

Fast forward to coming across an old skipping rope and my little one wanting to skip with me. I confidently took it out and gave it a whirl. Imagine my surprise when I realised I couldn’t skip anymore. Somehow it’s become incredibly high impact and I found that my shins and knees just can’t take it like they used to. I wad determined to change that and when I saw this challenge come up I was thrilled! What a joy to use my training to raise money too!

I’m not confident that I’ll manage to raise anything but at the very least I’d like to try.

Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

I’m skipping 100 times a day in September for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to skip 100 times every day this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity). Please help me in reaching my goal!

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every day I skip, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
