I’m swimming 8km in October for GOSH Charity!
Hi! I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).
All children deserve to have a childhood filled with wonder, curiosity and exploration, as they discover their place in our world. Working with young children has shown me the importance of every child being given the opportunity to learn, grow and be happy. I am fortunate enough to witness the magic and wonder of childhood every day at work. No child should have to experience serious illnesses at such a young and innocent age, and that’s why charities like GOSH are crucial in supporting children to overcome illness and enjoy their childhood once again.
I loved swimming when I was younger but lost touch with it as a teenager. I have only very recently rediscovered the benefits of swimming, which is why I hope to raise as much money as possible by swimming 8K in October. It will certainly be a challenge for me! I am embarking on this challenge because I feel incredibly lucky to have had a full and happy childhood- and I know that’s not something everyone gets. I want to do something that makes a difference- even in a small way.
Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference to the lives of children and their families who really need it.
