100 Skips a Day in September

Day 7

I have done a week of skipping and still finding it hard. I really wanted to be able to do more than 30 without stopping, but can’t seem to get past 30 without a little 10 second break.
Please help me raid money for Great Ormond street.
When we were in hospital Ross wrote a blog, mainly to keep all our family and friends up to date. Here’s a link to the first week of Freddie’s life:

Day 3

Today was hard for some reason. I wanted to do more than 30 skips without stopping and managed 31, LOL!
It’s such a quick easy exercise, but still hard.
I will keep at it and determined to improve over the next 27 days. I actually think I will continue doing this after, as it’s a really good way to start the day.
Please donate, I know it’s not a marathon, They have given me a very small target of £150, surely we can raise that?
I really hope so!

When Freddie had his operation, I slept on a chair next to him all night. I was so worried. I will never forget the sound of the breathing monitor.
He still has scares on his ankles and wrists from all the tubes giving and taking blood.

Watching your child suffer in hospital is so hard. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses that care for our children every day.

Day 1

I have just completed my first 100 skips and it was not easy for me.
One thing I know is that in 30 days time my video update will look a million times better.
This is a great motivation to add to my daily activities.
Please sponsor me and make this even more worth while.

Skipping for GOSH

Freddie was born premature and spent the first 3 months in hospital and then another 2 at home on oxygen.
He then had several visits to GOSH and 2 operations there.
I will never forget the first year of Freddie’s life. I remember crying every day for at least 4 months. It was so hard watching our baby hopeless and in so much pain.
I also remember seeing families in similar and worse situations than we were in. Children with life long conditions, having treatment to make their lives more comfortable. Freddie spent 3 months fighting for his life in an incubator. I will never forget the families we shared that time with. Some we still know today and others that lost the fight. So sad!
We were anlso lucky enough to meet incredible nurses and doctors. Doctors and nurses that save lives on a daily basis. Doctors that helped Freddie have the life he has today.
Skipping is nothing compared to what they do every day.
Thank you and I hope you can help?

I’m skipping 100 times a day in September for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to skip 100 times every day this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity). Please help me in reaching my goal!

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every day I skip, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
