I finally finished the swim!!! 
Im currently on holiday with my friends (the ones in the pictures) and they cheered me on for my last km. 
It's been a great experience and I'm happy to have aided great Ormand Street hospital.

One killometre to go! 
I've loved every second of this challenge and Im so excited for the one more swim left. 
In gonna head down to a holiday house in a few hours today with my friends and family. 
They have all been cheering me on for this challenge and their support has really helped. 
Sophia, Simone, Sienna, Herbie, Violet, Berney, Romily and Finley. These people are roughly my age and younger and they are going to help me complete my challenge in the next few days.

1.25km this evening

Tonight, I swam around 50 lengths and totaled my Sponsored Swim to a full 6 km. Only 2 km to go. I reckon I could do that in just two swim sessions. 
We're really close now and I can't wait for the big 8 km Finale. 

short swim this evening

Short swim unfortunately. 
I swam with my friend Max as previously mentioned. But around ten minutes in the pool was flooded with people, so we had to stop before we bumped into anyone. 
Although it was difficult, we fit in 20 lengths aka 0.5 I'm. 
Just want to say a big thankyou to all that have sponsored me so far.... ☺️

1km with Harrison.

Hey everyone.
Today I swam another 40 lengths meaning I smashed another km out the way! 
We're creeping closer and closer to our 8 km mark and I'm looking forward to it. 
And as a bonus, my friend Harrison joined me in the swim today, and a few other people were interested in our work. 
And we got a reward, when we arrived home, mum served us a buetiful chicken roast with gravy, stuffing, Yorkshire puds, greens, potatoes, carrots and as a cherry on top: PIGS IN BLANKETS. 
I'm stuffed. 

big swim tonight

Just got back from my 1km swim. Had a few small breaks but for the most part I smashed through it. Everything's going great and I plan to smash through a lot more km soon. 
I'm absolutely knackered so I'm gonna have a nice strong tea and jaffa cakes while watching the big bang theory. 😴

2nd and 3rd swim

So Saturday and today (Monday) I did another 60 lengths of the pool...a bit tiring but my friend max came with me and mum, and it made it a bit easier to do.  Will go again tomorrow or Wednesday maybe.

1st swim

First swim today. Off to a good start, looking forward to doing more. Today, I accomplished 30 continuous length in a 25 metre pool. Ib total, I swam 750 metres. 
I'll update again soon. 

I’m swimming 8km in October for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.
