100 Push-Ups a Day in November 2024

Halfway through the month now 😬🙏

Halfway through the month now & I have persevered so far & been managing to keep up with all the push ups 💪
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!!! 🙏
I've stupidly also signed up for walking 50 miles with your dog in November for the Samaritans (which I've also been smashing) but not going to ask people to donate to that also as it would be cheeky 😬 But I'll make sure I cover the costs of the welcome pack & make a donation myself 🐶🙏
Anyway, back to the push up challenge - definitely harder than walking my dog  as probably average more steps than that on a normal day & we'd walked well over 50 miles already 🐕
But I've broken it down in to 4 sets of 25 throughout the day which has been manageable 👍
And I've definitely been doing them correctly and the hard way - so elbows in hands at ribs & obviously on my toes rather than the easy way on knees, and going right the way down & right the way up (not just small pumps)!!
Thought about challenging myself to say that by the end of the month I'll do my last set of 100 all in one go but I think that may be a bit ambitious as although they are getting easier, by the time you get to 25 it really becomes hard... I can just about manage 30 in one go but feel if I'm able to do a set of 50 in one go by the end of the month this would still be a big achievement! 🙌💫

100 push ups a day - yikes!

Saw an add come up on Instagram for this fundraiser about challenging yourself to do 100 push ups a day for Great Ormond Street..
Not sure I've ever done a fundraiser before & push ups have never been my strong suit..
But I thought it'd be good to challenge myself in order get fit & build my upper body strength, and at the same time raise money for a good cause!
Not sure I'm even capable of 100 push ups (at least not in one go) & haven't done push ups in ages, but it's now 10th October so I have just under a month to prepare & I've just managed 20 in 1 go so I think I'll be good, even if I have to do 5 sets of 20 throughout the day I will persevere & vlog myself doing them so you can see I'm not cheating!!

I’m doing 100 push-ups a day in November for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to do 100 push-ups a day this November to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every push-up I do, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
