Run 100km in September 2025

I’m running 100km in September for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to run 100km this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity). Please help me to achieve my goal of £225 by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.

100km for Robyn

This September, I’ll be taking on a 100km challenge in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity – and I’d love to share with you why this cause means so much to me and my family.

Earlier this year, our world was turned upside down when our daughter, Robyn, needed a bone marrow transplant. It’s the kind of situation that no parent ever imagines facing, but thanks to the incredible team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Robyn was given the very best care, treatment, and hope for her future.

The transplant process is tough, not just for the child but for the entire family. We saw firsthand the dedication of the doctors, nurses, and specialists who worked tirelessly to keep Robyn safe and supported every single step of the way. Their skill, compassion, and commitment gave us strength when we needed it most.

Taking on 100km is nothing compared to what Robyn  and so many other children at GOSH go through every day. For me, this challenge is about giving something back to the hospital that has given us so much. It’s about raising vital funds so that other families can receive the same life-saving care and support that we did.

Every donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity helps fund pioneering medical research, state-of-the-art equipment, and essential family support services. It means that children like Robyn can have brighter futures and parents like me can hold onto hope during the hardest times.

So, as I lace up my trainers and prepare for this 100km, I’ll be carrying Robyn’s strength with me every step of the way. This challenge is for her, for the incredible team at GOSH, and for every child who needs their care.

If you’re able to support me in this journey whether by donating, sharing my story, or simply cheering me on it would mean the world. ❤️

About GOSH Charity

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I run, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
