Day 8

Day 8 of GOSH winter wonderland update: Millie has stolen the lead again after cycling 4.72km today! Our total raised now is £505! Thank you everyone for supporting us with this amazing cause!

Millie: 16.84/25km
Beth: 12.4/25km

Day 7

Day 7 of the GOSH wonderland update: we’ve both had a couple of rest days, but Beth has finally caught up with Millie 😂. Beth did the 7k trail around Blickling today, although typically it started raining as we stepped out of the car. Meanwhile, Millie stayed in the dry resting for her next effort!

Stats so far:
Millie 12.12/25k
Me 12.4/25k

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We are now only £15 away from our £500 target!

Day 4

Millie absolutely smashed it today with 9km cycled in half an hour!

Day 3

Millie’s in a bit of pain with her FAVA, so no cycling today, but Beth  clocked another 2.8k of running. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine today even if it was briefly ☀️☀️. We have a walk/run planned for the weekend so hopefully the weather will be nice!

Millie 3.12/25k
Beth 5.4/25k

Day 2

Millie is having a rest day today, meanwhile Beth ran 2.6km in a few stints tied in with the school run.

Stats so far:
Millie - 3.12/25
Beth - 2.6/25

Day 1

Day 1 of the GOSH Wonderland Challenge: Millie has cycled 3.12km in half an hour. Meanwhile Beth didn’t plan her running very well last week and still recovering from the 7km she did yesterday 😂 but will hopefully catch up with Millie during the week!

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

We’re challenging ourselves this December to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital

Millie is challenging herself to walk and cycle 25km and Beth is challenging herself to run 25km this December to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

In November 2024, we took Millie to the doctors after experiencing a lot of pain and tightening of the muscles in her left calf. After several tests at our local hospital, they referred her to GOSH.  In January 2025, GOSH diagnosed Millie with Fibro-Adipose Vascular Anomaly (FAVA) - a rare and painful vascular anomaly whereby a significant portion of the a muscle is taken over by tough, fibrous, fatty tissue.

As this condition has only recently been recognised, doctors are still trying to work out the best way to treat it. In July 2025, Millie underwent an operation to help minimise the symptoms, but unfortunately it didn’t work for her so her journey is still ongoing with GOSH. So this is a charity that is very close to our hearts.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come.

And with every kilometre we clock up, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help us to achieve our goals by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
