Back to swimming

Swimming has always been my go to exercise and relaxation. I find the up and down of the pool plus the counting  of lengths very meditative. But of recent years I’ve hardly been in the pool,  mainly due to having a frozen shoulder and once that was sorted, rather pathetically what was stopping me was the faff of drying hair! Raising money for GOSH has been the right motivation to get me back in there and whilst I’m only a few kms into the challenge  I’m loving being back in the pool and feeling the benefits. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to this great cause.

I’m swimming 8K in October for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to swim 8 kilometres this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every metre I swim I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
