I’m running 100km in September for GOSH Charity!
I’m challenging myself to run 100km this September to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity). Please help me to achieve my goal of £600 by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
Thanking GOSH and the reason why
Here I am again, two years later, less fitter, but I would like to try and exceed my target of £565 and aim for at least £600 this year! (Although last time I done the 100 miles in may, but any fundraiser counts!)
This time I'm running 100km to raise money for the charity close home to me and my family!
Most of you know that Archie had a massive operation when he was two and a half years old, spending the whole week in GOSH to recover from a major head operation which was needed because he has a condition called "craniosyntosis" which is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby's skull join too early, leaving minimal room for his brain to grow.
I'm raising money this year as this helps all the sick children there, and for the families that need to be close to them, I am grateful for the hotel that we was placed in by GOSH charity, which was on the same road as the hospital, being 38 weeks pregnant at the time and living over an hour away from the hospital, the hotel came in very handy.
My second boy, Ellis also has this which I discovered early on when he was first born, which was very hard to come to terms with but at least he could under go two smaller surgeries (which was just as scary but thankfully a quicker recovery).
Both boys are doing really well thanks to GOSH, the surgeon team and the team in koala ward to took care of them both after their surgery!
Me and mum (who is a supernan, who was there every step of our journey) would like to thank GOSH for everything they do day in, day out! Together we can make a difference!
About GOSH Charity
Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.
That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
And with every kilometre I run, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.
Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
