Swim 8km in October 2025

🏊🏽‍♀️8km Swim for Childhoods Full of Hope - Supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital

This October, I’m challenging myself to swim 8km in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

At the age of 15, I saw first-hand the extraordinary work of GOSH when a very close friend was treated there. What could have been an overwhelming and frightening time was met with care, expertise, and compassion that left a lasting mark on me. Their influence turned fear into hope, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

I’m also relatively new to swimming, so this won’t be an easy challenge but the purpose behind it will keep me moving forward, stroke by stroke.

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief. That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer.

With every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me reach my goal by donating whatever you can, no amount is too small to make a difference.
