My target 8 kms

12K in

12,000m in and 75% into my max distance! 😎😀

At £425 earned I'm really happy and so so so grateful to everyone that's donated and helped achieve this generous amount. Body isn't in the best shape and especially feeling it in the pool but let's keep going 🏊🏼‍♀️🥰

8km complete. More to come.

I did it. I finished the 8km in 11 days. Feels great but I know there's more to come. I also made my donation target and told myself if I make the fundraising I'll go double the distance. Fingers crossed for the 16km finish and thanks for all the support all X

4kms in!

I'm 4000 metres in, clocking in 4 times this week. My brain is happily heading towards doubling my target of 8k to 16km but with some worrying news this might be harder than expected.

Surgery is required to fix a "substantial" tear in the tendon of my right elbow. Today's diagnosis won't mentally slow me down for physically things may degrade. Going to keep pushing those kilometres and see how far I can get 😁

Swim One

So it begins. 1km over 40 lengths.

Had to start strong today. A very busy swimming lane with other fast, strong swimmers meant quite the challenge of pushing myself and not bumping into more experienced other swimmers. An early start at 6:45, but feeling good 😊

Still practicing

March is just around the corner and I'm making sure I get a good number of lengths in the pool every, or every other day. I'm currently suffering with a bad back and elbows but am trying to manage them as best I can whilst training.

Today I discovered how tired front crawl makes me. Time to get better.

Challenge accepted

This is my fifth charity challenge. I really enjoy the test the present. So far I've completed two push up challenges, roller skating and running for the Teenage Cancer Trust. A change of direction and sport will present a new dare I'm very much up for... Please donate, anything you can 🙏🏻

I’m swimming 8km in March for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this March to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
