Day 9
Had an evening swim today after a long weekend off and made the mistake of eating before so I ended up cramping 😭. I managed to do 1 km though and I was able to track it with my new smart watch which I love! I also got a new swimming hat from GOSH which I was thankful for cos my old one was ripping 😅Day 5
I got to the pool bright and early this morning and then realised I forgot my goggles and swimming hat! I was so close to going home but decided to give it a go since I needed to get the lengths in. I ended up doing 56 lengths of backstroke and breaststroke which brings my total distance to 4km! I am going back to London this weekend so will continue next week.First day
To kick off the month, I've started by swimming 70 lengths (1.75 km)! I was joined by Arjun who swam an easy 2k.I’m swimming 8km in March for GOSH Charity!
I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this March to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).
Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.
That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.
Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
