I quickly came to realise that 100miles on my own as a new “runner” was indeed ambitious so Shaimah has kindly agreed to join me and we’re splitting this challenge to running 50 miles each. 

I will add some extra miles in with some cycles to still come up with as close as possible to 100miles of run / cycle myself.

So support us with this challenge - it’s the first time either of us are challenging ourselves in this way and please donate what you can for a great charity!

Charity Challenge for GOSH children

“Some people are just not born to be runners”🤣  - I’m pretty sure that’s me! 

I’m not a runner by any means but I stumbled upon the couch to 5K app which has helped me slowly work myself up from brisk walking to a gentle jog. 

I remember when entering medicine I initially thought I wanted to become a Paediatrician but as I went through training I quickly found it wasn’t for me. It was so emotionally challenging.

Every day doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses in the most unwell but amazing children. They are all are truly heroes 

I came across this and it’s for such a wonderful cause so I’ve decided to really (I mean really really!) push myself out of my comfort zone and challenge myself for this

I have no idea if I’ll be able to complete it but the cause will motivate me for sure and if I can contribute to this wonderful charity in some small way I’ll call that a win! 💪🏽

So join me on this challenge and cheer me on (I’m gonna need it!) 😊
