A setback :(
Today is the last day of November and hence the last official day of the push-ups challenge. First of all, I’d like to say THANK YOU again - for your contributions and your support, it means a lot to me.
I am very sad to report that while on my work trip to Los Angeles last week, I woke up to severe back pain that is due to a trapped nerve. I was since unable to do my push-ups unfortunately. Having done very well and being ahead of “schedule” up until mid last week, I am now forced to pause as I’ve been practically unable to move my upper body. The situation is weighing a lot on me emotionally as I feel like I am letting you all down. My massage therapist strongly advised me to postpone doing the push-ups as it is counter indicative for the recovery I need, due to the repeated and strenuous contraction of the muscle fibre around the nerve. :’(
I’ve contacted the charity and they are being very kind, and understand that it’s not always possible to complete the challenge as planned. I am currently at 2300 push-ups meaning I still have 700 to go to reach the total goal of 3000. They are more than happy for me to complete the challenge when I have recovered and I will absolutely do so as soon as possible.
Also, I realised only recently that the fundraising page doesn’t email my supporters automatically when I post updates on my page and that I have to email each supporter manually, which I will definitely do again once I’ve reached the goal and hopefully make you all proud.
In the meantime, you can catch-up on my previous updates by visiting my fundraising page: https://fundraise.gosh.org/fundraisers/suada/ and keep an eye on upcoming post when I resume my push-ups sometime next week hopefully.
Thank you again for your kind support of GOSH and of my journey and please accept my apologies for the delay in completing the challenge in November. I 100% am committed to delivering the challenge as promised.
Love
Suada
Push-ups tracking:

20 Nov: 30 push-ups and 1st day of back pain
21/22 Nov: zero push-ups
23 Nov: 150 push-ups as I felt better
24 Nov: 150 push-ups but struggling
25-30 Nov: zero push-ups as I am forced to rest
Made it to half time! ..and counting
What a journey it’s been so far! Through muscle and joint pain with some really strong days in between, I feel that signing up for this challenge was one of the best things I’ve done this year. Mental and physical commitment and stimulation while supporting a great cause and making an impact feels truly wonderful. I’m having a lot of support from colleagues, friends, neighbours and gym staff who often join me for my sets and give me a much needed boost.
Below is an update of how many push-ups I’ve managed in the last few days:
14 Nov: 100
15 Nov: 110
16 Nov: 150
17 Nov: 140
TOTAL PUSH-UPS: 1970!!
Yes, I’ve been doing more on some good days and I am currently 270 push-ups ahead of schedule. Tomorrow I will be on a long haul flight to Los Angeles for work, so this will be my much needed rest day, as the pain in my left shoulder is getting a bit uncomfortable. But I’ll be there for a few days and will definitely upload some photos with LA push-ups over the next weekend!
Thanks again for all your support and kind donations!
Love,
Suada
Day 13: 120 push-ups
It’s been a good day and I managed to pre-push another 30 ahead of my trip next week!Days 9-12: still pushing!
It’s been very busy for me last few days, hence no daily updates, but I’ve been pushing my through every single day and even over performed last weekend!9 Nov: 170
10 Nov: 150
11 Nov: 100
12 Nov: 100
Current state of affairs: 1350 total push-ups!
Day 8: another 100!
Today started at the children’s A&E as my daughter needed an xray of her injured foot. To keep her entertained while we waited I did 2 sets there in the waiting room 😆.Day 7: 100 push-ups completed!
Today was office day for me and several colleagues joined me for my sets! It's so much more fun to do them side by side with others!Days 4-6: 300 push-ups!
I didn’t post the last 2 days as I was on the road for work! But the push-ups travelled to York with me!! :)) I managed to squeeze them in before heading to the station at home, at my hotel room and even at the York Museum Gardens! Next week I’ll be doing them from Dublin! 😂Day 3: 330 and counting!
It was painful today but all 100 done today by 12:30! I’m travelling for work tomorrow so it will be a little trickier to get them all in but I will do my best!Day 2 - 100 push-ups completed
It’s day 2 of the challenge and I can clearly feel the soreness.. I still got my 100 in today but it took 6 sets of 15 each and finished off with a set of 10.Day 1: 130 Push-ups completed!
My dear supporters,
It’s been a great 1st day of the challenge and I was able to complete a whole of 130 push-ups by 10am!
Friday being the only day of the week where I can train in the morning, I made the most of it! Eating healthy and sleeping plenty over the last few days definitely helped my energy levels today, and I hope there will be many more days like this to come! Sadly, the page won't let me upload videos but rest assured I am recording them all! :)
Once again, thanks to all my supporters for your kind donations! If I hit the goal of raising £500 I will be pushing myself to exceed the daily push-up goal to hopefully continue raising more funds!
Watch this space for more updates!

Suada
Total push-ups: 130 💪
Training has started!
Huge thank you to all beautiful souls who donated so far, your contribution is greatly appreciated and I am so grateful!
The training has started, and, I am telling you - it won't be easy! Push-ups are not my forte at all, so this will be very hard work! Managed a total of 50 split between 3 sets during my lunchtime workout yesterday. Watch this space as I will hopefully progress to mastering 100 a day!
If you’d like to share my page on your social channels to help achieve my fundraising goal, I would very much appreciate it!
Thanks again - you are amazing!

I’m doing 100 push-ups a day in November for GOSH Charity!
I’m challenging myself to do 100 push-ups a day this November to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).
Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.
And with every push-up I do, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.
This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
Thank you to my Sponsors
