Wonderland Walk 2025

Our experience

Next month I am taking on the challenge of walking 25k for Great Ormond Street.

This charity is very close to my heart, as we have experienced first hand just how amazing it is and the support that it provides children and their families.

For example, when Judes breathing deteriorated and was rushed down to Peadicatric Intensive Care Unit at GOSH where I was no longer able to stay with him, they provided emergency accommodation for the first night, and then more permanent accommodation for me best the hospital until Jude was moved back to the Renal ward.

They run sessions and activities not only for patients but also siblings which can provide a sense of comfort and normality for children with siblings at GOSH. I know for me, seeing Ines smile and enjoy activites helped ease the guilt that our weekends were being spent in the hospital rather than out doing our normal fun activities.

GOSH charity provides so many amazing services that I couldn't possibly list all the ways we have benefited, and I would love to give back to them any amount I can.

Please, even if you can only afford to spare £1 to this wonderful charity, consider donating and making a difference.

I’m walking 25km in December for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to walk 25km this December to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I clock up, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
