My target 8 kms

2km surpassed

Today Winter did an incredible 24 lengths, adding 600m to her distance and getting her to 2.4km
She's having a 3 day rest while we go to Warwick Castle and will be back swimming on Sunday.

Getting there....

Winter has hit 1.8km today.
She needed 2 days rest over the weekend after a massive swim on Friday, but has covered  300m a day so far this week. She's a little superstar. Thank you to everyone who has donated, every pound makes a massive difference.

1.2km in 3 days

500m today!
Winter's little legs were very stiff by the time she finished 20 lengths. So proud of her for being such a little trouper.
That's 1.2km so far....

400m down!

Winter started well, swimming 9 lengths straight away.
Then we had a little play and Winter had to work really hard to get the next 7 lengths done.
This was after physio this morning, so a pretty great start.
I am so proud of the determination and effort this little girl puts in every day.

I’m swimming 8km in October for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to swim 8km this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every kilometre I swim, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
