Aidan has finished his 8th and final chemo cycle!

Yesterday was a great day. Aidan completed his 8th and final chemo cycle! Like a true champ he didn't complain, and although he was tired he took the time to create a beautiful 'gratitude butterfly' to hang on the butterfly ward wall in the nurses station at GOSH. Aidan: "All the children will be able to see my gratitude butterfly and i hope they will feel as brave and strong as me."

We are so proud of him!

A HUGE THANK YOU

On behalf of Team Aidan we want to THANK everyone for their generous donations, time and kind wishes supporting us last Saturday during the RBC Race for the Kids Run.

Aidan was over the moon knowing that we raised 11x his goal of  £1,000. We have raised over  £11,000 thanks to you all.

It was our first family run and certainly won't be the last (even if mama and papa had to carry the kids most of the time) it was well worth it! We were joined by Aidan's cousins, Talia and Alexis, who were also troopers!

As most of you know Aidan is quite the foodie so demanded we treat ourselves to pizza and vongole pasta with gelato as desert. Well deserved to end a wonderful morning!

Team Super Aidan is joining the race to help beat childhood cancer by taking part in "RBC Race for the Kids"

In November 2022 our SUPER Aidan was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor.  After a successful surgery at home, we moved to London to commence treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). We are beyond grateful to have seen Aidan thrive despite the circumstances. He is incredibly strong, positive, inquisitive and happy. He is our SUPER Aidan and without the care of excellent doctors and staff, our journeys to the "hospi(tal)- hotel" would've felt very different.

Pediatric cancer is on the rise and while there are many ways in which we aim to help (by raising awareness, fundraising for more research, volunteering etc), we will be taking part in the GOSH Charity’s 5k family fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, and raising funds to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH.

Every week, around five children in the UK lose their lives to cancer. GOSH cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers. Pioneering research is underway to find the most effective treatments and cures, which give hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH’s current cancer care facilities, and the hospital needs a new home to help deliver breakthrough therapies which will benefit children from all over the world.

A place designed with the needs of children at its heart. A place that will support every aspect of care, from diagnosis to remission and beyond.

The money raised from RBC Race for the Kids 2023 will help build a new world-class centre that will treat the child, not just their disease.

Please sponsor Aidan to take on 5k for GOSH. Together we can build it. Together we can help beat childhood cancer. Let's start now.
