We did it!!

We did it!! The rain held off and the sun even came out for a bit. So proud of all the kids who really went for it. They went so fast. It was so much fun.

We are over £1500 now which is an absolutely incredible amount. We definitely smashed our total last year.

But there’s still time to donate. The donations are still coming in. Could we even make £2000?!

Target hit! Let’s keep going!

And we’ve done it! Two days before the race and we’ve reached our target. Which is really amazing considering just 2 days ago we were only past half way. Thank you to everyone who has donated. Your support means everything.

But it doesn’t stop there. Our goal was to raise more than last year. So let’s see how much more we can raise. You can still donate after the race too.

It’s Race week!

The time is near! The Race for the Kids is this Saturday. It’s come around fast. The weather is looking good too. Hopefully it holds out. We’re making a final push on our fundraising. We’re only £350 from our target of £1000. Can you help us get there? And of course, so many thanks to everyone that has already donated. It means so much.

We’ve hit £500!

We’re only a week in and we’ve already passed £500! We’re halfway to our target. Our goal is to raise more than we did last year. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated. It means so much to us. We are all really looking forward to the day. Only a few more weeks to go!

Race for the Kids 2024

We’re back! Last year, several members of our class took part in the Race for the Kids 2023 with their classmate Willow. Together we raised over £1000 which was an incredible achievement.

This year we’re racing as a class team, to try and raise as much money as possible together. There’s more of us taking part this year too. And it’s not just our class, it’s parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, babies and maybe even a dog. We’re all in it together to raise money for the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH.

Willow was diagnosed with JMML (leukemia) as a baby. She has just reached 5 years post transplant which is an amazing milestone. What better way to celebrate than this race with her and her family. You can find more on her story here and to raise awareness:

It was such a great day last year. The sun was shining. There was an awesome atmosphere. And lots of activities for the kids to do afterwards. So you’re very welcome to join our team ‘Willow’s Wonders’. Or sign your family up and we’ll see you there. It’s an amazing cause and is for all abilities. You can walk, scoot, run, jog or push a pushchair. It’s a great way to introduce the kids to fundraising. If not, any donation would would be greatly appreciated. Here’s hoping we can smash last year’s total.

We’re joining the race to help beat childhood cancer by taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

We're taking part in GOSH Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise funds to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Cancer is the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK. But a child doesn’t have to die from cancer for it to take their life. Living with cancer is different for every child. It can mean countless rounds of debilitating treatment. Seeing your siblings through the windows of an isolation room. Not knowing when you’ll sleep in your own bed again. It can mean missing out on parties and playdates and trips to the park. It can mean missing the moments that make up a childhood.

But we won’t let it.

We won’t let cancer steal childhoods.

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers. Pioneering research is underway to find the most effective treatments and cures, which give hope to children and their families.

But the rapidly changing pace of cancer medicine has outstripped GOSH’s existing cancer facilities., and the hospital needs a new home to help deliver breakthrough therapies. Somewhere that will treat the child, not just their disease.

That home will be the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH.

The funds raised from RBC Race for the Kids will help build a world-class facility with children at its heart.

A place where children have access to play and education alongside pioneering treatments. Where families can stay together through some of the hardest moments. Where access to outdoor space is a priority, and a focus on nutrition helps fuel recovery.

Please sponsor us to take on a 2k or 5k for GOSH Charity. Together we can build it. Together we can help beat childhood cancer.
