Walk 150K in October

My Activity Tracking

My target 150 kms

1 week remaining

I have one week left to complete the remainder of my 150km walk for GOSH. Without today’s walk included I have 60km to go. At times this walk has seemed challenging with limited time available to me certain days of the week but I’m so proud to say I’ve almost smashed it! Whatever amount I raise for GOSH could never be enough for the work they do for so many children and families in the UK but anything is better than nothing right? Please donate what you can, share my page where you can and if you see me out walking give me a wave!

Day 1

Day 1 complete. 5.5km in the bag!

Target increased!

Due to reaching my target of £150 in less than 2 hours I’ve set my goal higher. I aim to raise £1,000 for GOSH charity.

Why am I fundraising for GOSH?

As lots of you may know my middle son, Layton, was diagnosed with WPW October 2023. He was quickly referred from Addenbrookes Hospital to Great Ormond Street. The Cardiology team at GOSH gave him the best care possible and were always on hand to review his ECG recordings which I often had to record at home. March 2024 Layton under went a catheter ablation using cryotherapy. Layton and I haven’t looked back since. Since this procedure Layton has been a picture of health, he looks and feels great. He’s back on the rugby pitch and able to play a full match or take part in an entire fitness session without having some of the nasty symptoms he was experiencing prior to the procedure, he’s a new child! Whatever I can raise is just our way of giving back and saying thanks for the care he received! Please dig deep and donate as generously as you can! Every little helps!

I’m walking 150K in October for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to walk 150 kilometres this October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every kilometre I walk, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
