50(+1) MILES DONE

Completed my target on Sunday evening! Just absolutely buzzing.😊 It’s been cold this month, I can’t lie! But just happy to get this done!💪🏾

Getting stronger.💪🏾

Have really started to find my rhythm this week. Feeling better with every run!💯💪🏾

11.5k run!

Last Wednesday, I ran 11.5k with the help of my best mate and his brother! First time I’ve ran that far but it felt great, aside from the freezing weather, of course!😅

Very hard Monday morning run

This one was a tough one, I can’t lie! But have to start the week off strong!💪🏾

First run of the year!

Just did my first run this evening! 🏃🏾It was sweaty, aching, breathless.😂 Still so worth it! Onwards and upwards!🫡☝🏾

Why I’m doing JanuRun

Unfit, unhappy, unproductive.

This was how I felt towards the end of 2023. It was personally a very challenging year. For as many highlights I had, there were twice as many lowlights.

However,  when I saw the advert for JanuRun, it humbled me. Throughout 2023, around 750 children at Great Ormond Street Hospital were in hospital each day, battling against various illnesses.

It’s futile wallowing in self-pity while these brave children and their families are finding happiness in incredibly tough circumstances.

And this struck a chord with me. So now, I want to run throughout January to support these children and highlight the fantastic work Great Ormond Street do everyday.

It’s also a great way to reenergise myself this year to keep fit, and lift my own spirits.

So here’s to the next month. I’d love to have your support here. Any pound you donate here is going to a very worthwhile cause.

And I invite everyone reading this who shares the feeling I had last year: Come on board! Let’s do JanuRun together, start this year right and support a brilliant charity!

I’m running, walking or wheeling 31 miles in January for GOSH Charity!

I’m making a positive start to 2024 by running, walking or wheeling 31 miles in January, all to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day, around 750 children and young people are seen at GOSH from across the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day that I run, walk or wheel you'll help GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable supportso please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can, no amount is too small to make a difference.
