30 Day Planking Challenge in June

Day 30

Last day! I did it, planking every single day for a month!
Also, today I pushed myself extra hard: 3:33.
:)

Day 19

For the record:
Day 16 - 2:13
Day 17 - 3:02 !!!!! I still can’t believe it!
Day 18 - 2:01
Day 19 - 2:03

Day 15 - Half way there!

Day 11 - 2:37
Day 12 - 1:31
Day 13 - 2:05
Day 14 - 1:31
Day 15 - 2:05

Another 15 to go and maybe by then it will become a longterm daily routine.

Day 10

2:27

I was thinking of skipping today. Who would notice, I’m tired, I don’t feel like doing it, does it even matter etc. Excuses, excuses blablabla. So then I took a deep breath and acknowledged that it does matter, it matters for me. I would know I skipped a day and it would bug me. Yes, I don’t feel like doing it, but it only takes 2 minutes.
This is how I got my longest plank time, by getting over myself.

Day 8

For the record:
Day 5 - 2:08
Day 6 - 2:12
Day 7 - 2:07
Day 8 (today) - 1:35.

I went to an Ashtanga yoga class today and did so many minutes of downward facing dog and planks that by the evening when I’m usually doing my daily planks I just had no energy left in my arms. I tried, 1:35 is not that bad, will do better tomorrow!

Day 4

2:03
Killed me!

Day 2

1:33

Day 1

1:23

OK, let's do this!

Hello, welcome here!
I'm Kata, I'm the mum of 2 boys who are both under the care of GOSH for various lifelong conditions. We have always received the best care possible and I'm forever grateful for the whole team at GOSH so I'm always up for giving back as a form of saying thank you to everyone who looks after us.
I'm big on walking, having my daily 12k steps, working on stretching and becoming more flexible in general, but planking has not been on my radar at all. Before signing up I did a dry-run and it wasn't a complete disaster so here I am, dedicated to daily planking at least throughout June!

Please support me with kind words and ££ as well if you can.

Thank you!
Love,
Kata

I’m doing 30 days of planking this June for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to do 30 days of planking this June to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity).

Every day brings new challenges at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Every day, around 750 seriously ill children and young people are seen at GOSH from all over the UK for life-changing treatment and care. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And with every day I plank, I’ll be helping GOSH Charity give seriously ill children the chance of a better future.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, so please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
