100 Push-Ups a Day in January 2025

Day 17 - Slog!

Managed 75 full push ups and 25 knee ones, with workout exercises in between. Legs hurt from football yesterday but still managed to get through it!

Day 16 - Football day!

Again, didn’t do too much as I had a football match this morning (first one in six weeks!) ⚽️

Day 15 - Feeling It

Wasn’t 100% today so stuck to knee push ups and no extra exercises.

Day 14 - Pre-Darts Workout

Didn’t do full push ups today so back to knee ones. Didn’t want to push it - big game tonight! 🎯

Day 13 - Plugging away

Catching up on blogs - same old, same old!

Day 12 - High Intensity

Have darts tonight so went for kindergarten push ups, upping the intensity of them. Aimed for 30 push ups per 40 second burst. Again, incorporated abs and squats in between sets.

Day 11 - Through Gritted Teeth

Thankfully, the injury isn’t as bad as first feared so I can still do the push ups that I need to. Managed to fit some abs, squats and cardio moves in too.

Day 10 - Minor Problem

Managed to get through today but had to do a few knee push ups in between.

INJURY! Have hurt my upper left arm (thankfully not my darts throwing arm! 🎯) so might have to rest it tomorrow.

Swimming today with the little one so will do some jump squats in the water!

Day 9 - Push Up Pushing!

Really pleased with today - 5 lots of 20 FULL push ups! Abs and squats incorporated.

Day 8 - Friday Feeling

Dragged myself up to go through them today, really pleased with the push ups element today! Managed 60 full ones and 40 knee ones, which is an improvement!

Day 7 - Push it!

Really wasn’t feeling it this morning, but managed to get myself through it!

5 sets of 20 push ups, in each set I did ten full push ups followed by ten knee push ups. Going to keep with that for a bit to build up those full push ups. Also incorporated squats and abs exercises as normal.

Day 6 - Grind before the Grind

Did four sets of 25 press ups (from the knees), followed by 5 sets of 20 squats and some abs exercises on rotation.

All in all, a good workout before going to work soon! 👍🏻

Day 5 - Commitment to the cause!

First day of work so up early to get the press ups/squats/abs exercises in!

Feeling pleased today as I did a mix of full press ups with knee press ups! Again, Joe Wicks in the background for timings and motivation.

Day 4 - Grinding it out!

Again, having to do knee press ups but now upped it to 120! Keeping up with leg squats and abs exercises to make it a full workout.

Thanks to Joe Wicks in the background for keeping me motivated throughout!

Day 3 - Knees Up!

Had to have a rest day but back on it! Having to do knee press ups as my poor arms can’t take the strain just yet!

Another 100 in the bag with some leg squats chucked in for good measure!

Day 2 - Tough!

Got up this morning to very tight arms! Had to do most of my push ups from my knees today, so did a few extra to compensate. Also incorporated some squats to spread them out a bit!

Day 1 - The journey begins

I completed my first 100 press ups in small instalments - 20, 20, 10. Then, after 10 minutes, I did 5 x 10 press ups.

No video today - my toddler decided to jump on my back for one set!

I’m doing 100 push-ups a day in January for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to do 100 push-ups a day this January to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every push-up I do, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
