100 Push-Ups a Day in January 2025

Did It!

Thank you all for helping me reach my goal of £223…in 12 days! So I going to keep going and attempt to double that figure by the end of the month!
I’m also going to attempt 100 push ups in one go by the end of the week…so far I do 50 then 50, or 25 x 4 or 50, 25 & 25…so a straight 100 through will prove quite the challenge!! I’m going to film it too, (Timelapse I think, bit boring otherwise!) so keep a look out! Thank you everyone x

Jan 8th

I’ve been gradually accumulating donations and increasing the pushups; I now do 35 off the bat, a short break then another. It’s getting much easier and I’m sure I’ll be doing 100 straight through! I love getting up early and getting them in, especially when the sun is rising and we have a rare blue sky rising. January is an awful month for many, with dreary days and long nights, but this challenge has given me much time to reflect on the nature of my age, my life, and the coming year.

Keep going

So far, 20 push ups at home and 40 at the gym: nearly there for today. Easy going thus far, taking breaks between the 20 reps!

The beginning of my challenge

I can do twenty push ups in one sitting, so five of those and I’m away. I think a ten minute break between the first set and the next should work. However, without a day off, I think it’s going to become a real slog. What fun! Thanks for donating, I look forward to seeing what happens.

I’m doing 100 push-ups a day in January for GOSH Charity!

I’m challenging myself to do 100 push-ups a day this January to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity).

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.

That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.

And with every push-up I do, and every pound raised, we’ll be helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Please help me to achieve my goal by giving whatever you can; no amount is too small to make a difference.
