The Great Family Walk 2026 Event Terms and Conditions
By participating in The Great Family Walk (the “Event”) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (Registered charity no. 1160024) (“GOSH Charity”) you are deemed to have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions:
Registration and Participation
- You are registering yourself and/or (with their consent) your team (e.g. your family) for the Event and you and/or your team (if applicable) are taking part in the Event of your and/or their own volition and therefore confirm that your and/or their general state of health and fitness is good and that you and/or your team understand that any injury sustained by you and/or your team which after investigation is deemed to be no fault of GOSH Charity, shall be your own and/or your team’s responsibility.
- Children under 18 years of age at the start of the Event, 1 August 2026, must be registered by a parent or guardian; and be accompanied by a responsible adult during their participation in their chosen activity for the Event.
- All information provided about children under 18 years of age must be done so only with the explicit permission and knowledge of the child’s parent/guardian.
- By participating in the Event, you (and on behalf of your team (if applicable)) confirm that you will comply with all applicable laws and government guidelines in force at the time and shall ensure that any children and guests attending the Event to support you shall do the same.
- Team Captains providing information about other team members must do so only with each team member’s explicit consent.
- If you begin registration but do not complete, we will save your progress and may send you reminders to complete your registration.
Sponsorship money
Your fundraising from the Event will go to support the vital cancer care services at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), including the refurbishment of GOSH buildings, upgrading equipment, pioneering research, kinder treatments and offering vital welfare services to our families during their time at GOSH. In the event that costs change, additional funds are received over and above our target, or the needs of the hospital or patients change, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use against the hospital’s most urgent needs.
All funds raised for GOSH Charity through your fundraising must be received through your Funraisin fundraising page by midnight (GMT, UK) on Friday 11 September 2026 in order to qualify for any incentive rewards. Participants are welcome to continue fundraising after this date; however, any donations received after 11 September 2026 will not count towards incentive reward thresholds.
If you are unable to take part in the virtual event for any reason (including illness), please let us know as soon as possible. If you have already received sponsorship donations, the following will apply:
- If a sponsor has given you money in cash and asks for a refund, you are responsible for returning that money directly to them.
- For monies collected by you in cash, where the sponsor agrees the fundraising may be donated to GOSH Charity in any event, you must ask the sponsor to countersign the sponsorship form to confirm their agreement and arrange for the donated monies to be paid to GOSH Charity;
- If sponsorship has been collected through an online fundraising platform, or if donations have already been paid to GOSH Charity, and a sponsor requests a refund, they should contact GOSH Charity directly. Otherwise, these donations will remain with GOSH Charity.
Incentive Rewards
The Great Family Walk 2026 offers incentive rewards for:
- Each individual participant’s team, who raise £1 or more, excluding Gift Aid, by midnight (GMT, UK) Friday 7 August 2026, qualifies to claim one free physical distance tracker poster per family (‘Printed Tracker Incentive’) *.
- Each individual participant’s team who raise £42 or more, excluding Gift Aid, by midnight (GMT, UK) Friday 11 September 2026, qualifies to claim a GOSH Charity T-Shirt for each team member (subject to a maximum of 10 people per family) (‘T-Shirt Incentive’) *.
- Each individual participant’s team who raise £150 or more, excluding Gift Aid, by midnight (GMT, UK) Friday 11 September 2026, qualifies to claim a medal for each team member (subject to a maximum of 10 people per family) (‘Medal Incentive’) *.
All donations must be received through the participants’ Funraisin fundraising page to qualify for the rewards incentives.

Liability
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall attempt to limit or exclude any of the parties’ referred to in these Terms & Conditions, liability for fraud, death or personal injury which is caused by, or attributable to them.
Data protection and these terms & conditions
To register for this Event, you will be asked to provide your personal information via the registration platform linked on our The Great Family Walk web page(s) and on The Great Family Walk digital and print marketing materials. In providing your information, GOSH Charity will hold this for the purpose of administering your participation. More information can be found in our privacy policy or by contacting our Data Protection Officer at dataprotection@gosh.org.
- Entrance to the Event is via the Funraisin platform. You understand that Funraisin (“Funraisin”) is an independent company to GOSH Charity. By creating your account with Funraisin, you will be agreeing to their terms and conditions which you can visit here: Funraisin Privacy Policy. All information provided as part of the registration form is processed using the Funraisin platform. Funraisin only processes the information on behalf of GOSH Charity for the purpose of administering your participation in the Event. Funraisin will retain information for the purposes of administering incomplete registration reminders.
- By providing your (or that of your team (if applicable)) details on the Funraisin registration platform GOSH Charity will contact you by email, SMS, telephone and/or mail about your fundraising and your participation in relation to the Event. For other marketing purposes, we may contact you by email, SMS or phone but only if we have your permission to do so. We may contact you by post about our work and fundraising, based on our legitimate interests. GOSH Charity will always treat your personal details with the utmost care and will process your information in line with our privacy policy, https://www.gosh.org/privacy-policy-statement.
- Your details will also be shared with Bluestep to send out incentives that you qualify for and claim. When claiming your reward you can review the address entered during registration and choose to update the postal address prior to submitting. - Should you choose to connect your Funraisin account with any third-party website and/or a device, you accept that you do so at your own risk, and GOSH Charity shall not be responsible for any data you provide them, or the terms and conditions you may be asked to accept.
- GOSH Charity will never sell or swap with other organisations for their marketing purposes. - GOSH Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time and may amend the dates advertised if necessary.
- GOSH Charity accepts no responsibility for any errors due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network, or server failure of any kind.
- In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions on this website, or any other third-party websites associated or linked to via this one, then these Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent allowable by applicable law.
Disputes and Claims
- These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, or its subject matter or formation.

The Great Family Walk 2026 Printed Tracker Incentive Terms and Conditions

- The promoter of this Printed Tracker Incentive is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, registered charity number 1160024 and company number 09338724, of 2nd Floor, 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE (“GOSH Charity”).
- The Printed Tracker Incentive is open to all UK residents, aged 18 years or over, who satisfy the criteria in Clause 4 of these Terms and Conditions. Employees of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity), their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Printed Tracker Incentive are not permitted to enter.
- The Printed Tracker Incentive is free to enter to registered participants in The Great Family Walk 2026.
- The lead participant (Team Captain) of a family participating in The Great Family Walk 2026 will, subject to availability and to these Terms and Conditions, be entitled to claim one free printed tracker for their family participating in the walk if they raise £1 or more, excluding Gift Aid, on their Great Family Walk 2026 fundraising page on https://fundraise.gosh.org/event/great-family-walk before the closing date.
- The closing date of the Printed Tracker Incentive is 23:59 (GMT, UK) on Friday 7 August 2026. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
- GOSH Charity accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind.
- Subject to availability, each family that raises £1 or more, excluding Gift Aid, by 23:59 on Friday 7 August 2026 will be eligible to claim one printed tracker for each family that participates in the Great Family Walk 2026 for GOSH Charity.
- If a family has qualified for the Printed Tracker Incentive, GOSH Charity shall endeavour to notify the lead participant by email within 5 working days of qualifying for the Printed Tracker Incentive. When notified the lead participant will need to complete an online form in the email provided. Entries to the form must be completed by 23:59 on Friday 7 August 2026. If the winner does not respond by this time, they will not be entitled to claim their printed tracker. The winner must provide a residential postal address in the United Kingdom, which includes a valid postcode (“Valid Postal Address”), in order to claim their prize.
- Upon receipt of a Valid Postal Address, and subject to availability, theprinted trackerwill be sent to the winners within a reasonable period of time. GOSH Charity accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
- Theprinted trackerare non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Printed Tracker Incentive is subject to availability and GOSH Charity does not make any representation, warranty or guarantee that a qualifying participating family will receive a printed tracker.
- GOSH Charity reserves the right to replace the Printed Tracker Incentive with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond GOSH Charity's reasonable control makes it necessary to do so.
- The decision of GOSH Charity regarding any aspect of the Printed Tracker Incentive is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entry. GOSH Charity reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
- GOSH Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Insofar as is permitted by law, GOSH Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of GOSH Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude GOSH Charity’s, its agents or distributors or that of their employees, liability for fraud, personal injury or death to which they are attributable.
