Please read our Great Family Walk 2025 terms & conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) carefully and get in touch if you have any questions.
 
By participating in The Great Family Walk (the “Event”) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (Registered charity no. 1160024) (the “Charity”) you are deemed to have agreed to the following Terms and Conditions: 

Entrance to the Event is via the Funraisin platform. You understand that Funraisin (“Funraisin”) is an independent software company to the Charity. You can view their privacy policy here - Funraisin Privacy Policy. All information provided as part of the registration form is processed using the Funraisin platform. Funraisin only processes the information on behalf of the Charity for the purpose of administering your participation in the Event. 

All donations must be received either through Participants’ Funraisin fundraising page.

You are registering yourself and/or (with their consent) your team (e.g. your family) for the Event and you and/or your team (if applicable) are taking part in the Event of your and/or their own volition and therefore confirm that your and/or their general state of health and fitness is good and that you and/or your team understand that any injury sustained by you and/or your team which after investigation is deemed to be no fault of the Charity, shall be your own and/or your teams responsibility.  For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall attempt to limit or exclude the Charity’s liability for fraud, death or personal injury. 
 
Children under 16 years of age at the start of the Event, 1 June 2025, must be registered by a parent or guardian; and be accompanied by a responsible adult during their participation in their chosen activity for the Event. 
 
All information provided about children under 16 years of age must be done so only with the explicit permission and knowledge of the child’s parent/guardian. 
 
By participating in the Event, you (and on behalf of your team (if applicable)) confirm that you will comply with all applicable laws and government guidelines in force at the time and shall ensure that any children and guests attending the Event to support you shall do the same. 
 
Should you choose to connect your Funraisin account with any other third-party website and/or a device, you accept that you do so at your own risk, and the Charity shall not be responsible for any data you provide them, or the terms and conditions you may be asked to accept.

Team Captains providing information about other team members must do so only with each team member’s explicit consent.

You understand that team captains can view the full name of all team members.

W
hen using the ‘invite a friend’ feature on social media, you must only enter another person’s name and email address with their prior consent.

You understand that if you accept an invitation through the ‘invite a friend’ feature on social media, the person who challenged you can see your name, email address and registration status.

By providing your (or that of your team (if applicable)) details the Charity will contact you by email, SMS, telephone and mail about your fundraising and your participation in relation to the Event. The Charity may also contact you for marketing purposes by email, telephone, mobile telephone, or text, but only if we have your permission to do so. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information, http://www.gosh/org/privacy. We will always treat your personal details with the utmost care and will never sell or swap with other organisations for their marketing purposes. Your fundraising will go to support the vital cancer care services at GOSH, including the refurbishment of GOSH buildings, upgrading equipment, pioneering research, kinder treatments and offering vital welfare services to our families during their time at GOSH. In the event that costs change, additional funds are received over and above our target, or the needs of the hospital or patients change, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use against the hospital’s most urgent needs. 

The Charity reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions from time to time and may amend the dates advertised if necessary.
 
The Charity accepts no responsibility for any errors due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network, or server failure of any kind. 
 
In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions on this website, or any other third-party websites associated or linked to via this one, then these Terms and Conditions shall prevail to the extent allowable by applicable law. 
 
 These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.  Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, or its subject matter or formation.

The Great Family Walk 2025 Activity Pack Incentive Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter of this Activity Pack Incentive is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, registered charity number 1160024 and company number 09338724, of 2nd Floor, 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE (the “Charity”).

2. The Activity Pack Incentive is open to all UK residents, aged 18 years or over, who satisfy the criteria in Clause 4 of these Terms and Conditions. Employees of the Charity, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Activity Pack Incentive are not permitted to enter.

3. The Activity Pack Incentive is free to enter to registered participants in The Great Family Walk 2025.

4. The lead participant of a family participating in The Great Family Walk 2025 will, subject to availability and to these Terms and Conditions, be entitled to claim one free digital Activity Pack per family registered in the event if they raise £30 or more, excluding Gift Aid, on their Great Family Walk 2025 fundraising page on https://fundraise.gosh.org/event/great-family-walk before the closing date. In addition, subject to availability, the first 200 lead participants to raise £30 or more, excluding GiftAid, on their Great Family Walk 2025 fundraising page on https://fundraise.gosh.org/event/great-family-walk before the closing date, and claim the Activity Pack Incentive will also be eligible to claim one physical Activity Pack per family in the post*.

5. *Participants must provide a residential postal address, in the United Kingdom, which includes a valid postcode (“Valid Postal Address”) to receive one physical Activity Pack.

6. The closing date of the Activity Incentive is 23:59 (GMT, UK) on Wednesday 25 June 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.

7. The Charity accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind. 

8. Subject to availability, each family that raises £30 or more, excluding Gift Aid, by 23:59 on Wednesday 25 June 2025 will be eligible to claim one free digital Activity Pack per family that participates in the Great Family Walk 2025 for the Charity.

9. In addition, subject to availability, the first 200 lead participants to raise £30 or more, excluding GiftAid, 
by 23:59 on Wednesday 25 June 2025, and claim the Activity Pack Incentive, will also be eligible to receive one physical Activity Pack per family that participates in the Great Family Walk 2025 for the Charity in the post to the Valid Postal Address provided by the lead participant.

10. If a family has qualified for the Activity Pack Incentive, the Charity shall endeavour to notify the lead participant by email within a reasonable period of time. When notified the lead participant will receive a link to download the digital Activty Pack.

11. If a family has qualified for the Activity Pack Incentive, and there remains availability of the physical Activity Packs, the lead participant will need to complete an online form in the email provided, giving the details of their Valid Postal Address, to claim one of the 200 physical Activity Packs (and any such request is subject to availability). Entries to the form must be completed by 23:59 on Wednesday 25 June 2025. If the winner does not respond by this time, or there is no availability of the physical Activity Packs at time of response, they will not be entitled to claim a physical Activity Pack. The winner must provide a “Valid Postal Address”, in order to claim their prize

12. Upon receipt of a Valid Postal Address, and subject to availability, the physical Activity Pack will be sent to the first 200 winners within a reasonable period of time. The Charity accepts no responsibility for the prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.

13. The Activity Packs are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Activity Pack Incentive is subject to availability and the Charity does not make any representation, warranty or guarantee that a qualifying participant (or any member of their family) will receive a digital Activity Pack or physical Activity Pack.

14. The Charity reserves the right to replace the Activity Pack with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Charity's reasonable control makes it necessary to do so.

15. The decision of the Charity regarding any aspect of the Activity Pack Incentive is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

16. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions upon entry. The Charity reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

17. The Charity reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion or these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so.

18. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Charity, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Charity, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude the Charity’s, its agents or distributors or that of their employees, liability for fraud, personal injury or death to which they are attributable.

19. The winners may be asked to participate in publicity related to the Activity Pack Incentive which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media. The winner has the right to choose not to participate in publicity.

20. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize. Personal details will only be used for marketing purposes by email, telephone, mobile phone or text, if we have permission to do so (you may have already done this if you have registered your details with us previously). 21. The Activity Pack Incentive, these Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim between the parties arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with the Activity Pack Incentive and / or these Terms and Conditions, or their subject matter or formation.

2. The T-Shirt Incentive is open to all UK residents, aged 18 years or over, who satisfy the criteria in Clause 4 of these Terms and Conditions. 3. The T-shirt Incentive is free to enter to registered participants in The Great Family Walk 2025.

The lead participant of a family participating in The Great Family Walk 2025 will, subject to availability and to these Terms and Conditions, be entitled to claim a free Charity t-shirt for each member of their family participating in the walk and listed on the registration form (subject to a maximum of 10 people per family) if they raise £150 or more, excluding Gift Aid, on their Great Family Walk 2025 fundraising page on https://fundraise.gosh.org/event/great-family-walk before the closing date.

5. The closing date of the T-shirt Incentive is 23:59 (GMT, UK) on Sunday 13 July 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.

6. The Charity accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, network or server failure of any kind.

Subject to availability, each family that raises £150 or more, excluding Gift Aid, by 23:59 on Sunday 13 July 2025 will be eligible to claim a Charity T-shirt for each member of their family that participates in the Great Family Walk 2025 for the Charity and is listed on the registration form (subject to a maximum of 10 people per family).

8. If a family has qualified for the T-Shirt Incentive, the Charity shall endeavour to notify the lead participant by email within a reasonable period of time. When notified the lead participant will need to complete an online form in the email provided, giving the details of the number of Charity T-shirts they need, as well as their sizes (and any such request is subject to availability). Entries to the form must be completed by 23:59 on Sunday 13 July 2025. If the winner does not respond by this time, they will not be entitled to claim their Charity T-shirts.  The winner must provide a residential postal address in the United Kingdom, which includes a valid postcode (“Valid Postal Address”), in order to claim their prize.
