Help us Race for the Kids
My friends and I are doing a fun run for GOSH to raise money for the new Children’s Cancer Center. The money will help improve the hospital to make better rooms for the nurses and doctors to do treatment and have more space to do research on children’s cancer.
When I was 10 months old, I found out I had blood cancer. I did treatment for the cancer until I was 4 years old.
When you get cancer, you are stuck in a small hospital room a lot of the time. All you can really do in that small room is play with toys, and it is not fun. I want to raise money to help kids have more places to play and not be stuck in their rooms.
The hospital doesn’t have enough space to do research on cancer. If we give them more room to do research then less kids might die from cancer. When I had cancer, the medicine made me lose my hair. I want to help the doctors find better medicine so that kids don’t feel or look sick during treatment.
