Maria’s Smile, Our Strength

In 2025, our beautiful daughter Maria passed away after bravely battling Wilms’ tumour, a rare childhood kidney cancer. She showed more strength, courage and love in her short life than most of us learn in a lifetime. Maria had the brightest smile, the gentlest heart, and a way of bringing warmth to everyone around her. She will always be our little girl, and she is missed every single day.

I’m taking on the Walkie Talkie Tower Climb for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity in Maria’s memory. Hospitals like GOSH care for seriously ill children and support families through the most frightening and heartbreaking times of their lives. The doctors, nurses and teams who work in children’s cancer care don’t just treat illness — they bring comfort, hope and dignity when families need it most.

By sponsoring me, you’re helping fund vital research, specialist equipment and support services for children facing cancer and other life-threatening conditions. You’re helping other families get more time, better treatments, and more moments to hold onto.

Every step I climb is for Maria.
For her bravery.
For her smile.
For the love she gave us that will never fade.

Thank you for helping us honour her and support children who are still fighting their battles
