I’m joining the race to help beat childhood cancer by taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

I’m taking part in GOSH Charity’s fun run to raise vital funds to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Cancer is the biggest killer of children aged 1 to 14 in the UK. But a child doesn’t have to lose their life to cancer for it to take away their childhood. 

During my placement on a cancer ward, I've seen firsthand the incredible challenges these brave children face every day.

From enduring countless rounds of treatment to the heartache of seeing siblings only through a window and speaking through an intercom, their struggles go far beyond the physical toll of the disease. They miss out on birthday parties, playdates, and trips to the park—moments that make up a childhood.

But together, we can make a difference.

The funds raised from RBC Race for the Kids will help build a world-class cancer facility with children at its heart. A place where children have access to play and education alongside pioneering treatments. Where families can stay together through some of the hardest moments.
