Why your fundraising is so important
The money you raise will help Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) give seriously ill children the chance of a better future. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, and every day is a chance for you to make a difference.
Here are a few examples of how your fundraising could help. Please feel free to share these with your supporters.
Unlock exclusive rewards for fundraising!
To thank you for your hard work and support with fundraising for JanuRun, we have different rewards for you to unlock to recognise your progress and successes.
Be among the first 350 people to sign up by 12 December and receive a free runnning buff and pair of shoelaces*.
Along the way, unlock digital badges for your fundraising page to celebrate your achievements and milestones.
Raise £96* from your challenge and receive an exclusive JanuRun medal.
£96 could fund everything a Play worker needs for an afternoon of imaginative play with a child on a ward.
Five top tips to kickstart your fundraising
01.
Share your page regularly
At this time of year, people are often busy and will need reminding of your challenge. You’ll unlock digital badges as you hit different fitness and fundraising milestones along your JanuRun journey, so use these to shout about your success.
02.
Connect your fitness app
Those who link their fitness apps to their fundraising page will raise more. Show your friends and family how committed you are to your challenge and let them follow your JanuRun progress.
03.
Share your motivations
Whether it’s a personal challenge, you have a connection to GOSH, or a combination of the two, update your blog post on your page to tell people why you’re taking part. It’s a simple yet moving way to encourage more support.
04.
The more, the merrier!
Invite friends and family to join you and take on the challenge together. This could be in person or virtually. Either way, you can motivate each other through the highs and lows.
05.
Make the most of the festive cheer
If you’re the designated driver or having friends around for dinner, why not ask them to make a small donation to say thank you; and instead of receiving a gift from your secret Santa or loved ones this year, ask them to donate.
Spread the word about your challenge
Once signed up, check out the ‘Resources’ tab on your fundraising page dashboard to download your social shareables and challenge poster to shout about your challenge.
Don’t forget to share pictures throughout your challenge for your friends and family to see! If you want to tag us, we’re:
