The Great Family Walk 2025

All the funds raised from The Great Family Walk will go towards the development of cancer care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the event that costs change, or the needs of the hospital or patients change, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use against the hospital’s most urgent needs.

Walk No.3 05.06.25

Today we took the LONG walk from the park. Our first walk in poor weather, because childhood illnesses do not pause for a bit of rain!

We only tallied 1.5 miles whereas the fitness tracker has rounded it up so we will remember this calculation next walk!

But we have surpassed 50% of our target distance altogether!!

Walk No.2 02/06/25

The Great Family Walk

Walk No.2

Today we walked to Robyn's circus academy class in Carshalton and back instead of driving or using public transport. Rosie was lovely watching the trees above the buggy!

Another 12 miles altogether added to our total. Almost 50% to our target miles, so we are going to aim even higher by the end of the month!

Thank you to all those who have donated so far, you've helped us reach beyond our sponsor target, all for such a good cause. We are so grateful.

There is still time to donate/sponsor Robyn and us as we continue to reach our distance target!

We are very proud of Robyns determination to make a difference and spurring us all on in our walking!

Walk No.1 1/6/25

Today we walked/cycled to Beddington Park Cafe, had a cup of tea and a play in the park before returning home. Lovely weather for our first walk!

This June, our family will be lacing up our trainers to take on the Great Family Walk.

We’ll be walking 42 miles between us throughout the month, the distance of the Mount Kilimanjaro Climb, whilst raising money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Your donations will help to keep us all motivated to get out there and clock up the miles, but they’ll also help to beat cancer for more children.

Childhood and cancer. Two words that should never go together.

But, every week, around five children in the UK lose their lives to cancer. That’s five families who are faced with the worst news possible.

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest-to-treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to kids across the UK. But these advances have outstripped GOSH’s current cancer facilities.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) needs your help to build a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can help save more children’s lives.

Together, we can Walk it. Build it. Beat it.
